Our very first #wingsovermercer is in the books! While I feel like I could sleep for a week straight I’m also SO filled with love and gratitude for the entire WBRG team that rallied together to make this possible! It was so lovely meeting many of our participants in person to support this org that means so much to me. It’s a critical time to find community and I’m so lucky that I’m surrounded by one thats as giggly and passionate as I am 💕

Bird watching during fieldwork in Wilmington, NC at the UNCW Center for Marine Science @uncwcms An osprey (aka a seahawk) caught a fish and was trying to eat it in a tree along the marsh. Until, a Cooper’s hawk approached trying to steal the fish. As the osprey flies away, you get a great look at the fish. Anyone know what species the fish is? Looks like a flat fish, maybe a juvenile flounder? Let me know what you think in the comments below! 👇 #birdwatching #birding #fieldwork #wildlife #nc #osprey #hawk #coopershawk #phdstudent #marinebiology #science #womeninstem #uncw #gradschool #uncwilmington #marsh
