One of our favorite days of the month 🧡

There’s something so special about getting the newest issue into the hands of the businesses and people who help make our magazine and our community what it is. We’re so grateful for every partner and friend who allows us to share the stories, places, and people that make our community so great. 🫶

Fresh issues, familiar faces, and a day spent making our rounds - we wouldn’t have it any other way! 🥂

Learning Tree is the kind of toy store where kids lose track of time and adults start saying things like, “Hey..I had one of these!” 🪀📚

📍 @learningtree.okc
7638 N Western Avenue, OKC

⏰ Monday - Saturday 10am-6pm

📲 Find them now on the Keep It Local App

Patti Tepper-Rasmussen has owned and operated Learning Tree toy store for more than 40 years.

Every shelf at Learning Tree is packed with thoughtfully chosen finds from hundreds of small toy makers. Think puzzles, science kits, books, building sets, outdoor toys, and plenty of other reasons to put down the screens.

Nothing here feels random. Every section is organized by age and developmental stage, so finding the right item is a whole lot easier than wandering the toy aisle at most big-box stores.

Their staff actually knows the toys they’re selling and can help you find the perfect gift. They’ll even gift wrap it for free, special order hard-to-find items, and help assemble larger toys.

The best part about Learning Tree? You don’t have to know what you’re looking for. Half the fun is discovering something you didn’t know existed.

As a proud member of Keep It Local, Learning Tree rewards cardholders with 15% off their entire purchase.

Learning Tree is open Monday - Saturday at 7638 N Western Avenue in Wilshire Village at Nichols Hills, making it the perfect excuse to spend an afternoon exploring one of OKC’s shopping districts filled with locally owned businesses.

🎃 Halloween Safety Tips for Your Little Ghouls & Goblins 👻

Before you head out for all the fun, take a sec to make sure your crew stays safe!

🧡 Watch for cars — Halloween night sees double the number of child pedestrian injuries.
🧡 Wear well-fitting shoes to avoid trips and tumbles.
🧡 Stick together — have a meet-up plan just in case you get separated.
🧡 Check candy for tampering — if it looks off, toss it.
🧡 Light it up with flashlights + glow sticks for visibility.
🧡 Remind kids: never enter a car or home for candy.
🧡 Double-check the candy again before digging in!

Happy (and safe!) trick-or-treating! 🍬✨
