💭𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙨💭
.
🗞️With the news of accredited grading becoming an option for students in the coming months, above are some tips on how you can approach the next few weeks with your best foot forward.🦶
.
⏰You have 3 full months to improve your in- class grades so there is still time to turn a leaf.🍂 Don't give up now at the last hurdle. ⛔
.
⚠️Most importantly:⚠️
Remember to treat your teachers with respect and show them you care. They are experts in their subjects and they are there to help you, so 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 listen to their feedback and ask for help if struggling. As teachers ourselves, that is all we want- to see students take on our feedback and improve. Your teachers have your best interests at heart and will give you the best grade possible, so make sure to put in the work consistently from now on and make their job somewhat easier. It will be worth it.💪
.
Also remember, any work you do between now and June will benefit you whether you choose predicted grading OR written exams so these tips will benefit ALL students; Junior or Leaving Certificate, written or predicted grades.
.
In terms of organising your studies, we have free study and lifestyle planners to download for you all to stay on track. Just hit the link in our bio!
.
Best of luck guys. ❤️
.
Any more tips, comment below 😉😊

💬How to get the best out of your online lessons:
.
💭| PREPARE AHEAD: If you know you have a difficult topic coming up, read ahead and try to understand the topic before your online lesson with your teacher.
.
💭| STUDY BASKET: Have a basket nearby full of study materials and stationary essentials that you may need during classes or study. Add to the basket as you go and eventually you will have everything to hand.
.
💭| TAKE NOTES: Don't just passively listen to your teacher's lesson; have a pen in hand and take notes. Voice record important parts of the lesson to re-listen. Do the work assigned by your teachers and do it well. They know best.
.
💭| SHOW UP & SPEAK UP: Attend all lessons, no matter what. Give your teachers that respect and show them your willingness to participate. Now is the time to ask the questions. Communicate with your teachers and let them know if you're struggling or don't understand. Please ask questions during zooms for your own benefit and likely everyone else on the lesson. Questions lead to answers, answers lead to knowledge, knowledge leads to SUCCESS. This is especially important if we do see the return of predicted grades. Your teacher has the final say so leave a good impression.
.
💭| SUBJECT GROUPS: Set up specific subject groups on WhatsApp with your classmates to share support, guidance, ideas, resources and notes.
.
💭| DAILY FINISH TIME: No matter what, choose an end time each evening and do not study past it. Balance is so important so you don't burn out. Force yourself to stick to this. There is more to life than school.
.
💭| TEACHERS ARE YOUR LIFELINE: Your teachers are going through the same struggles as you; please be kind and understanding to them at all times. Realise that they are your best support. They are the experts in their subjects and they know you as a student; use this to your advantage.

🖥️ 📲 Some general tips for students who have to go back to remote learning over the coming weeks. Tomorrow we will post more specific tips for lessons online. 👌
.
💭| PLAN YOUR DAY: Get up early, have a good breakfast and 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀 out of your pyjamas. We repeat, do not stay in your PJ's. 👚👗Plan your snacks for each days & get your water bottle ready. 🧊
.
💭| STUDY SPACE: Get your study space ready this week in a quiet part of the house. Clear the clutter & make a temporary space. Think ahead about everything you will need. Technology, chargers, stationary, earphones, books & copies. Check out our reel on setting up the perfect study space. 🪑
.
💭| CHECKLISTS:📝 Make a checklist of the tasks you have to do for the next day/week. You can download a study plan from the link in our bio & keep track of assignments & work you get each day.
.
💭| COMMUNICATE:💭 Stay in constant, daily touch with friends, school & teachers. These people are your biggest support network now, along with your family. Make sure your email and school accounts are all signed in & ready for use. 💬
.
💭| TIMEBLOCKS:⌚ Treat your day as a school day, take a break when it is breaktime. Don't battle through or you will burn out. If you have a free class, study that subject anyways to stay on top of it and give it some attention. Just be mindful that you would be in that class if you were in school so try not to ignore certain subjects.⏳
.
💭| NO- PHONE ZONE📵Get rid of the phone altogether if you can- give it to your parents or someone who will refuse to give it back during 'school hours'. If you need your phone for school work, start looking at apps you can use to shut down all social media apps and distractions on your phone. What other distractions have you got? Think about them now and try to eliminate them ahead of time.

Why bother with exam papers?👇👇 Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students 📣📣
.
📝1. LAYOUT: By practicing exam questions you become familiar with the layout. You know which questions have choice and which don't. This will spare you precious time in the exam.
.
📝2. MARKING: Know your marks. What questions or topics are worth most? What should I be focusing my time on? What questions should I do first in the exam?
.
📝3. TIMING: It's so important that you know the timing of your subjects and questions. It will give you this breakdown at the front of every set of exam papers. Watch the clock and don't go over your allocated time slots, this could be detrimental in certain subjects such as LC History.
.
📝4. PATTERNS: By practicing your exam papers you begin to notice patterns in the papers and topics that come up time and time again. This is the best type of prediction. 😉
.
📝5. SPECIFIC RECALL: Instead of opening a book and reading reams and reams of notes with no direction, start with exam papers and work backwards. Choose a queation you find difficult and then go and look for the answer.
.
📝6. EXAM TECHNIQUES: Using exam papers properly gets you ready for the actual exam. You become used to the wording of questions and very little will be a surprise or throw you off on the day. You will be ready for most eventualities. 💪
