A hand-stitched Birthday Box for a special friend @joy.crookston on her very special birthday 🥰🎉 Mock ostrich print on Goat skin and rose gold metallic in the filigree cut out. I absolutely love the matching edge paint by @kamenskaya_ink reflecting light in the ‘windows’. With thanks to @treehousepatternsuk for this beautiful design, @leather4craft for the chrome tan leathers and @theidentitystore for the veg tan lining leather to give it some structure. 🥳💗

One buckle. Two makers. One seriously unique watch strap. 🔨⌚️ I bought a belt buckle some time ago from @crookedtreeworkshop and loved it so much I reached out to Tom with an idea — could he make a smaller version for a watch? After plenty of back-and-forth on the design and what I had in mind, Tom got to work. Carved in wax, then cast in bronze. His part done. Over to me. The challenge was to make a strap worthy of that buckle. I chose Walpier Buttero Veg Tan leather in “Imperial Purple” from @leather4craft along with chestnut coloured thread to compliment the bronze buckle. It started with card templates, then scrap leather to get the shape, fit and details dialled in. From there came the measuring, cutting, punching, stitching, trimming and all the little tweaks that turn a pile of leather into a finished strap. The final piece brought together so many of the skills I’ve picked up over the years — and gave that incredible custom bronze buckle something to really show off. A proper collaboration between two makers, with both parts made from scratch. Custom buckle. Handmade strap. One-off watch strap. Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. #bronzecasting #Handmade #WatchStrap #CustomWatchStrap

If you are anything like me, you would LOVE a Louise Carmen or a Paper Republic leather journal. However, my budget doesn't allow for that - maybe one day! 🙏🏼 I picked up this gorgeous real leather journal from @leather4craft at a fraction of the cost! (Under £40) I'm pretty sure it's just as gorgeous. Delivery was FAST too 🏎️ My journal is in the Poppy Red and my A5 @leuchtturm1917de fits perfectly. I added this adorable cherry bag charm from @stwffstuff 🍒📚♥️ #louisecarmen #paperrepublic #leatherjournal #luxurystationery #madeintheuk🇬🇧

**AVAILABLE** This random pattern, forge welded, 12° scandi grind bushcraft tool has a 5" working profile. The stabilised turkish walnut scales are secured with 10mm phosphor bronze pins and a brass lanyard tube. Traditional red liners give a subtle contrast to the dark wood and hand stitched, veg tanned wet-formed belt sheath. Two mm leather from @leather4craft, my excellent local supplier.

We had a wonderful workshop this weekend where a gentleman wanted to make a Leather Jigsaw for his 5 year old grandson who absolutely loves jigsaws! But he wanted to create something different, no picture to follow - just a child's imagination! This design allows for multiple versions to be made! Leather from @leather4craft #swankyleathergifts

Even the most organised (and helpful!) people need a helping hand to keep everything on track. Today I picked up my beautiful new tri-fold leather journal, and I can honestly say it did not disappoint! 🤍 One of my favourite things is how customisable it is. You can choose from a range of: • Leather colours • Elastic colours • Eyelet finishes I chose black leather, pink elastic and antique brass hardware, and I absolutely love how it turned out. The best part? They also offer custom embossing, so I’ll be taking it back soon to have my initials added for that extra personal touch. Go check out @leather4craft a small business based in Newhaven. Fantastic service from start to finish. I can’t wait to start filling it with plans, ideas, to-do lists and everything in between! ✨

Two custom knife sheaths, made to order. A colleague came back from Japan with two beautiful kitchen knives—one for himself and one for his brother, who also works with us. He wished they’d come with leather sheaths, and after my manager reminded him I make leather goods, he asked if I could make a pair. The UK heatwave had other ideas, with my lounge reaching 31°C, so progress was slow. As soon as it cooled down, I got to work. They chose Walpier Buttero in Crimson Red and Peacock Blue from @leather4craft. After making a small test piece to check the fit, I cut, formed and stitched each sheath by hand, adding a strip of leather inside to protect the stitching from the knife’s edge. I finished them with contrasting thread—blue on the red sheath and red on the blue—for a subtle pop of colour. Each sheath took around 60 hand stitches, before being burnished and finished with @fiebing Resolene. Handing over a commission is always nerve-racking, but they were absolutely delighted with the finished sheaths—and that’s what makes it all worthwhile. Which colour are you choosing… ❤️ Crimson Red or 💙 Peacock Blue? #Leathercraft #KnifeSheath #JapaneseKnives #commission #refurbcreations
