Still floating from last Monday night at @thewaverlyinnstagram . 🥂 Celebrating The Rally with so many of the people who made this book (and this life) possible was the best way I could have imagined marking the occasion. Everyone came out, and my heart is so full. Wool, a slight collar, a waist-length cut, and team player vibes are signatures of the varsity jacket, patented around 1949 in Minnesota by the Butwin Sportswear Company. Mai Ikuzawa of @teamikuzawa has interpreted the form for @bentleyracingofficial to mark the resurgence of Bentley motorsports with @fat.icerace. I have been rocking this jacket lately — it reminds me of Bentley driving memories that date back in these photos, circa 2004. Collectible Flying Spurs, Arnages, Continentals, and the Blower, once new for the time, on the road, on the track, and around the world, always classic.

Monterey Car Week is car culture at its most over-the-top and sublime. The cars are beautiful, the vibe is chaotic, and the traffic is predictably ridiculous. Who knows what happens next to the world’s most desired automobiles, but after 15 or so @pebblebeachconcours visits there’s always something new to see and learn together with my favorite car nerds. ❤️🏁.
