Catch yourself often forgetting your pre-training snack? You need a car pantry!! 🚘🙌🏼

Having a stash of snacks in your car is super helpful for when you forget to eat or bring your pre-training snack, so you can eat on the drive to training and still show up fuelled for your session 🤗

Here’s my top car pantry items:
✅ cereal or oat bars
✅ dried mango or other dried fruit (eg. Sultana boxes)
✅ energy balls
✅ carbs chews or gels

For me also bonus as emergency hypo treatment while driving or on the go 🙂‍↕️

Just make sure you refill your car pantry as needed, so it’s always well stocked!!

I get all my training fuel essentials from @aidstn, you can use NINA10 for a little discount ❤️‍🔥

The marathon is a beast! 🏁

I’ve been stacking miles for years and my two marathon training blocks this year pushed me. Running 7 days a week (70-80 mpw) and in this last block, I went from May 17 until last Friday before the race 10/9 with no days off and a bunch of tough workouts along the way.

Consistency. Keep showing up, put in the work and trust the process💪

A few shots from race day 📸 + splits. Marathon #21. 2:53:02. Let's go!

RUNNING NOTES | 11 OCTOBER 2026

NOT QUITE THE PLAN

Another Sunday, another treadmill run.

With the recent haze situation, indoor running has become my default. It's also one of the reasons I decided to return to Anytime Fitness after taking a break from my membership.

Today's Runna plan was a 25 km long run at conversational pace. I checked the air quality in the morning, which was still elevated, and started preparing for another indoor session.

I was deciding between my adidas Adios Pro 4, Boston 13 and Evo SL. Eventually went with the Evo SL, a pair I've previously completed 21 km in without any issues. I also wanted something familiar and comfortable for today's distance.

Had a LECKA Lime Ginger gel before starting, with Saltify for hydration during the run and another LECKA Kumquat Honey gel at 12.5 km.

The plan was to complete 25 km without worrying too much about pace. But somewhere after 12.5 km, I decided to call it a day at 14 km. I wasn't particularly tired or struggling. I simply didn't feel like continuing.

And that was it.

Headed home for a shower and ended up taking a rather long afternoon nap. Woke up with a headache, something I've been experiencing lately. With my air conditioning not working and the noise from downstairs, getting a good night's sleep has been difficult.

I'd only had a large cookie in the afternoon, so dinner became my first proper meal of the day. Chicken chop with spaghetti, fried egg and salad, accompanied by my first iced coffee of the day.

Interestingly, the headache eased noticeably after the coffee. Perhaps missing my usual caffeine had something to do with it.

Ended the evening with a foot reflexology session near home while catching up on my running records and putting together this journal.

Not quite the 25 km I had planned, but that's how my Sunday unfolded.
