POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On an early September edition of THE FIX,
Dancehall music veteran LECTURER
(best known for "D.J. A Look Fi Me" and
"Punanny Too Sweet") presented a most
shocking observation suggesting that Reggae music
will VANISH (from the Jamaican musical lexicon)
within a span of 10 years.

While most of the viewing public were interested
in taking the message from its proper context,
the viewing audience on Instagram
(thanks in major part to the ragebait caption
on the clip reel from that podcast),
many big and notable names from the JA
music realm took the emotional route and lashed out at Lecturer in the comments,
completely missing and/or ignoring the context
behind his prediction.

But was he WRONG in his observation?
And who's willing to PROACTIVELY prove him wrong?

The guy with the heavy head says reggae’s dead — buried, resting comfortably in dinosaur heaven 🦖. Ten more years and nobody will listen, apparently. Groundbreaking take.

Good thing I’ve got the heart of a lion, not a chicken. All that flapping? Doesn’t ruffle a single feather.

Truth is, some people never built anything real. House on sand. Now the tide’s in, they’re sinking, and trying to drag the rest of us down with them. Cute strategy.

Sorry bro — you should’ve listened to @originaldennisbrown: “He goes down for a reason, Jah is giving him a beating to the foundation, he’s got to go down to the foundation.”

Built on rock. Enjoy the sand. 🪨
