WE HIKED THE HAIKU STAIRS! I can't put into words how proud I am that we made it! The hike is closed since 1967 due to the fact that it's so dangerous and a storm damaged the stairs. The hike is illegal! There is always local security to guard the entrance. That's the reason why we had to walk around the guard and find a way through the woods. The hike is 3922 steps and very dangerous. The stairs are loose, it's windy and steep. It was super exhausting, but it was worth it. The view was just impressive! Photos could never do it justice. Walking down was super scary. As soon as we arrived at the bottom the guard caught us and told us that the police is on their way. WE RAN!!! If they catch you, you will be cited, arrested and have to pay a fine! I had the biggest adrenalin rush ever haha
