tour has been hectic and I wanted a few days to process my thoughts so here we go! I’m so excited to announce that our BRAND NEW album Death Of The Altar is now out I’ll keep it short and sweet for the main caption but swipe right to read about the other photos and videos that were taken during this recording process!

I was in a really bad place mentally last year during this session and Lee had called me and told me they wrote one more heavy song for the record and I need to have and idea when I came into the studio that night as we were about to be on our last day for that session. I wrote this during my hour and a half drive to the studio and I am so proud of how it came out. Being able to write a song about the thoughts that go on in my head every day is so therapeutic, I was constantly in an enemy state with my mind battling those thoughts that you’re not good enough, or not deserving of the things you have I got sick during

We wrote the first demo for “So Long to Yesterday” almost two years ago, only a few months after Dakota’s stroke. At the time, we didn’t know if he would ever return to Hollow Front or if we were even going to be a band for much longer. We just wanted to have fun and make music with our friend again. A year after we wrote that demo, Dakota officially rejoined Hollow Front and we finished it. Hearing his voice back in the band and watching him continue to recover made the song feel even more special. It felt triumphant. So when it came time to choose the track we wanted to lead with, starting here felt right. This isn’t the heaviest song we have coming, but it shines a spotlight on Dakota’s voice, his recovery, and everything his return means to us. This song captures the beginning of that journey, before any of us knew where it was going. Now we finally get to release it with Dakota officially back in the band. We couldn’t think of a better way to welcome him home than by letting his voice and his story take center stage. “So Long to Yesterday” is yours at midnight. 🖼️: @leealbrecht
