I can’t deny that recently running has felt quite difficult (good old perimenopause kicking in 😩) but I have been working hard with slow marathon training runs and some speedwork.

So I was pleased to have clocked up a few quicker parkruns recently at Oaklands, trying to push myself to see how fast I can go.

Nowhere near PB pace but happy with my progress … and lovely to spend time with @leeandre74 & Jamie today ❤️

Lee’s Incredible Fitness Journey👇

She knew she needed to start training again, but it wasn’t simple.

Having previously been a long distance runner, and having sustained damage to her knees, every time she tried to come back to training, she felt like she failed… so her belief in what she could do slowly disappeared.

Running felt impossible.
Confidence felt even further away.

Beth adapted every exercise to meet her where she was, not where she used to be. Progress was slow, intentional, and built around what her body could handle.

And the results?
✨ From not being able to run at all
✨ From walking around parkrun
✨ To running a 5k for the first time in over 5 years

She’s now reverse lunging, something she never thought she’d be capable of. She’s doing split squats.
And most importantly… she believes in herself again.

This is what happens when training is adapted to you, not forced.

What an amazing year it has been at cannon park.

Felt very bittersweet to leave this gym as I absolutely love it here. However as one chapter closes, another one begins!

So incredibly grateful to all of my clients who I’ve worked with during this time - been a pleasure to have been a part of your journeys! Thank you to each and every one of you 💗

It’s awesome that a lot of clients have become friends for life. You guys can’t escape me that easily 🤪

@hyroxuk Singles ✅

Super proud of this achievement, it was way out of my comfort zone but the months of training at @the_boxing_lab_ have really helped.

It wasn’t easy, but I absolutely loved it … and I would really like to do another one (seriously what the heck)! 😱

Huge thanks to THE best supporters, @leeandre74 & @skyblue_dave … you guys kept me going ❤️💪🏻

It’s been 2 weeks now since I spent a lovely afternoon with this beautiful kind supportive lady @leeandre74 who I am SO lucky to call my friend ❤️❤️❤️

I’m not going to lie, I was disappointed not to win an award. I felt like I’d tried to work so hard these last 12 months since losing my Mum … I’d juggled a business, my family, marathon training and raised over £5,400 for @macmillancancer … but it just wasn’t enough.

I know the whole room was full of inspirational women who had achieved phenomenal things, so I have to accept that maybe I just wasn’t that amazing in comparison.

I’m not going to enter anymore awards for now, I’ve been a finalist in 4 different events over the past few years and haven’t ever come away with anything - which when you’re trying your best, struggling to keep it together & feeling down is so disheartening 🥺

However those hours I spent with Lee were great for the soul and the giggles we had did cheer me up immensely - thank you xxx 😘
