What are your favorite tropes?

This is definitely one of mine. I love a good secret that we only find out in the aftermath of someone dying. Bonus points when it causes the MC to question it all. This book looks like it's gonna do just that which makes it perfect dor my November TBR.

The Blurb:

Beth Collins’s life with her attorney husband Danny seems perfect—until a
freak car accident kills him and shatters her world.

Desperate for a fresh start, Beth quits her job, opens a café, and slowly
begins to heal. But in the aftermath of her grief, Beth discovers shocking secrets
about Danny that force her to wonder if the man she’s mourning ever existed.
When the life she built on illusion finally falls away, Beth must decide what
kind of future she is brave enough to claim.

Perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty and Sally Hepworth.

Thank you to @leebukowskiauthor for sending me a copy of the book.

Tallulah 🐈‍⬛ Spotlight- err 📖 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐥 📖

I’m feeling exceptionally spoiled with the latest round of book mail. I’m excited for all of these- and I’m confident it includes at least two contenders for Book of the Year. 🙌🏼 Thanks so much to the tagged authors and publishers!

Tallulah was as excited as ever to jump in and help show off these lovely books (and by “help” I of course mean: sprawl out dramatically and be the center of attention 😹❤️).

Have you read any of these?

Have you received any fun book mail recently?

And what are you currently reading? (Bonus points if you include a pic of your current read- or cute pet pics. Cute pet pics are always welcome)

Open book mail with me!
Thank you @leebukowskiauthor for this amazing book. I cannot wait to dive in. And thank you, Bookish Road Trip, for hosting another book club in which we got to hear all about this novel from the author herself. And I won the giveaway! #bookclub #womensfiction #bookmail #leebukowskiauthor #paintingovercracks

A few captures from this month’s book club gathering that included a guest appearance by the author @leebukowskiauthor .

So interesting to hear how Painting over Cracks was developed, tweaked & reworked along the way. And loved the two sets of questions: one jar for group discussion & one jar of questions for the author!
