Last chance to enter the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027.

Inspired by LOEWE’s own beginnings as an artisanal workshop, the prize is designed to recognise excellence and innovation in craft in all its forms.

Marking its 10th edition, the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027 will be celebrated with an exhibition held in Milan during spring 2027. From all shortlisted works, the Jury will select the winning piece and special mentions.

Entries will be accepted until 15 October 2026.

Back to my everyday life in Berlin. The whole experience passed like a dream, and I’m truly grateful and happy to have shared this time with the Loewe team @loewefoundation and the fellow Loewefinalists 2026

Seeing the craft works filled with each artist’s life and time gave me so much inspiration and energy.Those moments will stay with me for a long time.

Experiencing the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize in Southeast Asia for the first time was incredibly inspiring. What stayed with me most wasn’t just the craftsmanship itself, but the emotion behind it — the imperfections, the rawness, the evidence of the human hand. In a world moving so quickly toward automation and sameness, work like this feels deeply alive. One piece I kept returning to was Maria Koshenkova’s Faun’s Flesh — bold, instinctive, unresolved in the most beautiful way. And Maria herself was absolutely charming. It reminded me that the best objects — much like the best spaces — aren’t just visually beautiful. They carry soul, tension, memory, and humanity.
So grateful to have experienced this exhibition and the incredible artists behind it ✨#alifebydesign

@loewe 正式宣布，2026 年 LOEWE FOUNDATION @loewefoundation 工藝獎得主為韓國藝術家 Jongjin Park @jongjinpark_ceramics (1982 年生)，獲獎作品為陶瓷雕塑《Strata of Illusion》 (2025) 。

這次我們特別來到展覽現場，近距離訪問了得主Jongjin Park、台灣工藝家謝佳珍、韓國工藝家Jong In Lee @leejongln @jonglnlee 、駐丹麥工藝家 Maria Koshenkova @mariakoshenkova 以及辛巴威工藝家Xanthe Somers @xanthesomers ，一起來聽聽藝術家們如何親自解密他們的創作想法！

It truly feels like a dream.
I’m incredibly honored to have been selected as the winner of this year’s LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize in Singapore.

What made this year especially meaningful was seeing seven Korean artists, including myself, selected among the 30 finalists. It felt like we were able to show the current energy and potential of Korean craft together on an international stage.

As AI continues to move deeper into our lives and creative fields, this exhibition reminded me once again that the value of the human hand still matters deeply. The sense of touch, material, time, and process that craft carries is something truly powerful, and I feel grateful that this belief somehow led me to this moment.

As an educator as well, I’m especially thankful that my journey as a professor at Seoul Women’s University — constantly thinking with students about new possibilities for craft — is connected to this experience.

My sincere thanks to the LOEWE Foundation, to all the finalists who showed the true spirit and sincerity of craft, and to everyone who has supported me along the way.

I’ll continue to work harder, with gratitude and humility.

꿈만 같은 시간이었습니다.
싱가포르에서 열린 올해 로에베공예상에서 위너에 선정되었습니다.

무엇보다 올해는 저를 포함한 7명의 한국 작가들이 30인의 파이널리스트에 선정되며, 한국 공예의 현재와 가능성을 세계 무대에 함께 보여줄 수 있었다는 점에서 더욱 뜻깊게 느껴집니다.

AI가 우리 삶과 작업 안으로 점점 더 깊이 들어오고 있지만, 이번 전시를 보며 결국 손이 가진 가치가 여전히 위대하다는 걸 다시 느꼈습니다.
그리고 그 믿음이 이 자리까지 이어진 것 같아 더욱 뜻깊습니다.

또한 공예 교육자로서, 우리 서울여대 학생들과 함께 공예의 새로운 가능성을 고민해온 시간이 이 순간과 이어져 있다는 생각에 더욱 감사한 마음입니다.

이 영광을 안겨준 로에베 재단과 공예의 진정성을
보여주신 이번 파이널리스트 작가님들, 그리고 함께해주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
