Sooo, somewhere along the way, this page went from my personal page to a full-blown modeling portfolio lol. And while the two can coexist, I started feeling like I couldn’t permanently post about my actual life or the things that truly make me happy, without worrying that it would come off as “unprofessional.”

Posting started to feel like a job 🙃. Shoots would pile up, life would just get so busy, I’d get stressed and upset with myself for not putting enough effort into this page, and I started second-guessing every damn thing I shared with the world. Say what you want about social media, but good lordt, this shit really is a job in itself lol. We are constantly glued to our phones, not living in the full moment, trying to make it out here, not being fully authentic & after a while it can get very overwhelming lol. & eventually, I realized I couldn’t even express who tf Iris was anymore. 😞

So this summer, I decided to slow down. Instead of shooting every mf every weekend + training for a full blown marathon lol, I prioritized spending time with the people who make my life in Chicago so goddamn fun and special ❤️. I stopped worrying about a posting schedule, the likes/views and just let myself take the summer all the way in. 🌊🌆

Thank you to everyone who made this summer as amazing as it was. To the people who made these memories with me, and especially to those who checked on me, ATTEMPTED to make mf plans, and showed up when I wasn’t in the best headspace. I love and appreciate you more than you know. I may be very far from my actual home.. but you ALL make this place A home for me.. 🏠💯🤍

No idea why it took me this long to post about THEE Inauguaral Flow De Lis BUT here it is…..

So incredibly proud of myself & @theebayouburner for making a dream into reality! We gave New Orleans a hula hoop experience!!

Extending the most love & gratitude for all of my attendees, instructors, & sponsors ~ Ya’ll made the retreat so special, so unique & offered help anytime it was needed! I’ve never thrown something like this before & lessons were learned. The amount of homies who sent messages of support during & after the weekend truly built me up- having a network of support all over this country is crazy special!

@flowdelisnola was a moment! The laughs, murder mystery, crawfish, gumbo, hot tub time, OZ, parading the streets of Nola, king cake, CLASSES, black cats, ghosts, espresso martinis & countless crazy fun memories created! More quality pics coming soon but here’s what I have & so honored to have any at all!
