In March 1970 a seven year old me waited for this to come on in the late Sunday afternoon chart rundown. I had my little transistor portable radio down in the golf course car park. Peaked at number 2 with Lee Marvin - Wandrin’ Star pipping it to the top spot. The Beatles 1966-70 ‘Blue Album’ (1973) This morning’s play prompted by @leenorton_ post and it didn’t seem a good idea to drop the needle at 4am.

#OTD 13 November - every day I de-clutter my phone by deleting old photos from this date in history. It frees up storage and also reveals some lost gems, so I’m posting them here — cuz why not? #latergram #photodump

Buried Treasure Pt 8:-
Cheap Watch - Hooker (1995)

How this song didn't get Hooker on the radio and into more peoples playlists I don't know. It has a good catchy chorus. Hooker managed to release another single after this called The Fear that didn't have the same kick as this song. In a very short interview with the guitarist I did a few years ago apparently Gem of Heavy Stereo and Oasis fame was in the earliest incarnation of this band. If you like the sound of this there are more Hooker songs on YouTube.

In 1990 The Sundays released their debut album 'Reading, Writing and Arithmetic'. A solid indie album to bring in the 90s. My copy is a 1996 reissue. I consider myself a serious CD music collector so should I be looking for an original 1990 one for myself ? What do my music collecting friends and followers think ? Would you look for an original ?

Also I am looking for suggestions of bands that sounded the same as The Sundays from the 90s. Let me know if you know of any.
Have a great Sunday.

I often take screenshots of what I can see in stories and keep them for later. Yesterday I took time to have a look on them and bang! I listened to what has become one of my 2024 favorites so far. Their EP is on the screenshot but I'm talking about their LP Effigy. I was working listening to it and it was a little bit difficult to stay focused 'cause it is so damn good!
Thanks @leenorton_ to share those great bands and see you soon in Paris @talkshowtalkshow
