2025 MELBMARA 10KM ✅🥳

Last year I worked up the courage to run 10km for the first time! Made a PB of 57mins which felt amazing. This year I wanted to aim for 56:00, and trained for it.

But I kept having doubts that I could even keep the same time.

All I could do is trust the process & believe in the work that I put in, and the hours I spent running. I tried to remind myself that what really matters the most, is showing up for yourself.

Cause in the end it’s not about the numbers, the time or the distance or certainly not about comparing yourself to others! I’m able to do this incredibly hard thing that I once thought was IMPOSSIBLE for me. And I couldn’t be more grateful for my body for carrying me through all good and bad times. I’m so lucky to be able to even do it. And when I think about how much work we’ve put into this little race, I feel like the least we could do for ourselves is to believe!

Whether its a big thing to you or a small thing, what matters is you DID THE THING and you should be allowed to celebrate it 🥰🥳

I’m proud of us for pushing.

Managed to shave off 2mins and hit a new PB I didn’t expect to get! 54:35 🙌

Really happy about it but I know that next year I’ll be working on stressing less on the numbers and enjoying the process a bit more 😂 but still within the overall goal of keeping sub 60 😌
