The WWII Type B-6 Sheepskin Flight Jacket, introduced in 1939, was valued for its lightweight design that offered greater mobility compared to bulkier jackets of the time. Despite being highly prized, it had the lowest survival rate among sheepskin jackets. This particular jacket belonged to Walter E. Lamb, a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Air Corps, though little is known about his military service. A newspaper clipping from his wedding and a 1938 stamp found inside the pocket add historical significance, making this jacket a rare and well-preserved WWII relic.
