POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A big moment for everyone involved in our brunch event not too long ago.

Black Enterprise Magazine featured the inaugural Legacy 100 Brunch in their August Melanated Moments wrap-up, alongside some incredible company.

Grateful for the recognition, and even more grateful for the ten honorees, partners, and guests who made this moment possible. This is only the beginning.

Legacy is about more than what we leave behind. It’s about what we build, who we uplift and the opportunities we create for those coming next.

That spirit was at the heart of
the inaugural @legacy100brunch , celebrating Black and Caribbean leaders, entrepreneurs and changemakers creating impact across industries and across the diaspora.

This year’s honorees reflect the many ways legacy is built: from Yvette Noel-Schure’s decades shaping global communications and Malik Yoba’s work across entertainment and community development, to David P. A. Mullings’ focus on Caribbean investment, Jessica Johnson-Cope’s leadership of a third-generation Black-owned business, and Michael and Nicole Nicholas building Aunts et Uncles into a home for Caribbean culture, community and creativity.

At Mel&N Media Group, we believe stories like these deserve to travel beyond the room. We were proud to support Legacy 100 in amplifying its mission and the leaders behind it.

Congratulations @caribbiznetwork x @eminaenetwork on an impactful event.

Congratulations to all of the 2026 Legacy 100 honorees.

Introducing The Experience Architect’s Review. 📐👑

These reviews are not judgments for judgment’s sake. They are reflections on my experience as a guest—what I noticed, how I felt, what worked and what stayed with me after the experience ended.

I believe that if we are willing to point out when people get it wrong, we should be equally intentional about highlighting when they get it right.

And @caribbiznetwork and @eminaenetwork got so much right.

The Crown Scale:

👑👑👑👑 — Close to perfect. I would prioritize attending their future experiences.

👑👑👑 — I enjoyed the experience, but might second-guess returning.

👑👑 — I would not return without evidence of improvement.

👑 — They tried, but missed the mark completely.

No crowns — The experience did not provide enough value for the time and investment required.

The Legacy 100 Inaugural Brunch earned the distinction of a Four-Crown Experience. 👑👑👑👑

This is Experience Architect Review No. 001.

Because there is a difference between throwing an event and creating an experience.

Hosting an experience and want to know how it feels from the guest side?

Invite me to walk the room. Experience Surveys are now available.

Keeping it 💯 .

Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. It’s for the passionate, purposeful waymakers willing to create a path—and leave a legacy.

For Caribbean creatives especially, entrepreneurship often means paving the way where no clear road exists. Many of our Diaspora brothers and sisters have helped create that road for us, while being truthful about what the journey actually takes: courage, sacrifice, resilience, community—and the willingness to keep building.

But legacy isn’t only about how hard we work.

Remember balance.
Remember community.
Remember to take care of yourself.
And remember why you started.

Keep building. Keep making way. Keep it 100. congrats @iamnicolegrimes and @eminaenetwork #caribbeanintransit #creativeeconomy

Years ago, fellow entrepreneurs in my circle and I started having conversations about something we all felt in our gut. There weren't enough spaces where business owners and professionals in our community were truly seen, recognized, and celebrated for what they built.

Last Sunday, that vision became real at The Mansion at Wheatley Farms, during our @legacy100brunch.

Producing an event like this- indoor, outdoor, dozens of moving pieces, honorees flying in from different cities- is genuinely hard work. If you've never done it, it's easy to underestimate. If you have, you know exactly what it took to pull it off.

Thank you to my co-host, @iamnicolegrimes of @caribbiznetwork, for partnering with me on this vision and playing a key role in bringing it to life.

Thank you to our early supporters, @brl4life, @msjessicajohnsoncope, @linxxx_ledgin, Leroy E. Quilter, Stanfort Perry, @greenlionbuildingny, and sponsors who backed this before it was proven. To our vendors and staff who worked quietly behind the scenes, and to every volunteer who showed up and gave their time because they believed in what we were building.

And to the honorees themselves, thank you for letting us celebrate you. Watching @malikyoba tell the room, "you are the CEO of You Incorporated," summed up exactly why this day mattered. Every one of you has spent years, sometimes decades, building something that outlasts you. Businesses, opportunities, communities. Getting to build a room around that and finally say "we see you" was the whole point.

Lastly, to everyone in the @EminaeNetwork community who showed up, shared this, and supported the vision, thank you. This is exactly what it looks like when people build something bigger than themselves.

We set out to create a room where legacy gets seen, not just talked about. Sunday, we did that.

Thank you 🙏🏾

I wanted to do a voice over and I had another thing drafted for a caption but I think the video speaks for itself.

This is a little bit of what the experience is like when working with me. It’s a genuine handshake of being a kind human and attentive to others, becoming a part of the moment not just capturing it. I just hope my work pleases God. 🙏🏾

Massive appreciation to @caribbiznetwork @eminaenetwork @iamnicolegrimes and @kylesellsbiz for trusting me with the opportunity of capturing inaugural moments of the @legacy100brunch

What an honor to be in the room for the inaugural Legacy 100 Brunch, surrounded by people who understand that legacy isn’t simply what we leave behind, but also, what we build, how we serve, and who we lift along the way.

I showed up in admiration of the work @iamnicolegrimes is doing for our community and with tremendous pride to celebrate my dear friend, @yvettenoelschure who was one of the honorees 🌟

Kudos to @caribbiznetwork and @eminaenetwork for an outstanding inaugural event.
If it’s legacy, I’m living it now 🫶🏾

What it entails to produce any high ticket event, especially an indoor/outdoor one, is a feat only seasoned event producers could ever understand. It’s really, really hard work. So, I will say this - I’m incredibly grateful for every single person and platform who believed in the vision of our U.S. Black Business Month inaugural event @legacy100brunch - and helped us make it a reality.

Thank you to our generous partners, in kind sponsors, staff, vendors, super star volunteers and my community who understand what building anything takes.

A special thank you to our co-producer and partner @eminaenetwork and their community who were incredible supporters of the vision.

Lastly, my heart holds enormous space for the CBN family (old and new) : those I can count on consistently. They believe in me/this work so much and show up whenever needed.

Legacy is not only what you build. It is what becomes Blackjack possible for other people because you built it.

That feeling stayed with me throughout the inaugural @legacy100brunch.

The room was filled with Black and Caribbean leaders who have spent years building businesses, shaping industries, creating opportunities and making space for others.

Legacy can be found in the company someone built, the doors they opened, the people they employed, the culture they protected and the path they made easier for someone coming behind them.

It was an honor to serve as host and help celebrate Malik Yoba, David P. A. Mullings, Yvette Noel-Schure, Stasha Harris, Stanfort J. Perry, Sue Ann Tannis, Bert Lurch, Jessica Johnson-Cope, Michael Nicholas and Nicole Nicholas.

I was proud to have @melandnmedia stand behind this inaugural celebration as a Legacy Ally Sponsor.

Congratulations to @eminaenetwork and @caribbiznetwork for creating a space to recognize these remarkable leaders, and to every honoree. May what you have built continue to create possibilities for generations to come.
