Spotted a guy painting a massive, stunning sunflower mural all by himself on a scorching Friday afternoon after Jummah at @masjid_as_sabiqun . I pulled over to offer him a drink, ran to @wawa for a cold @gatorade , and we connected over art and our roots in the City of Chester.

That artist is @tuckerrodkey . The finished piece sits right at the top corner of Concord Ave and Central Ave in Chester, PA—and you can even catch a glimpse of it heading southbound on I-95 between the Kerlin and Highland exits.

Turns out, he used to be my neighbor right across the street from my grandmother’s house where I grew up.

Check out his page & @legacyartschester for more info about upcoming murals in Chester & the backstory on his Van Gogh-inspired masterpiece. @tuckerrodkey , thanks for the unveiling invite - you’re awesome! 🌻🎨

It started with a vision. It was built hand-in-hand with the community. And today, it belongs to the future. 💙⚽

We are thrilled to look back at the inauguration of the revitalized 7th & Penn multi-sports courts. A celebration of a journey that began with local voices and represents the spirit of soccer to drive social good and strengthen connections.

From the 75+ volunteers who poured their passion into painting the vibrant “Exit 6” mural, a permanent tribute to Chester’s identity created by artist Tehran “Ran” Freeman, to every community member involved, this space reflects the pride and creativity of the people who made it possible. As shared during the inauguration:

“Exit 6 is more than just a highway. It’s community, it’s pride, resilience and it’s hope.”

This project, love.fútbol first partnership with an MLS club, is the result of a shared commitment to the community. We’re thankful to the Philadelphia Union Foundation, the Buckley Family, the Ron Jaworski Foundation, and the City of Chester and The Hoop Galery for helping turn this vision into a place where people can connect, play, and grow for years to come.

Built for play. Made to last.

This three-piece canvas set was created through @legacyartschester and is now displayed at Summit Wealth Management’s new offices.

Every color in this series was hand-mixed using @novacolorpaint and brought to life with @tuckerrodkey ‘s brushes😂. I’m incredibly grateful for the resources, mentorship, and creative space that made this work possible.

A special thank you to Tara and Denise at the @CAAT Center for providing approved studio time and supporting my creative process!

Most importantly, thank you, Tucker, for the opportunity to create my first commissioned artwork. Your mentorship, trust, and support helped make this milestone possible. Thank you for delivering and installing these pieces to their new home. 🎨✨

Please take a moment to learn about an exciting new project taking shape right here in our city. We invite you to visit Legacy Arts and meet the incredible team of artists we are assembling to help bring this vision to life.

This is more than an art project it’s a movement built on creativity, culture, community, and opportunity. Together, we are working to create something that will leave a lasting impact on Chester and inspire future generations.

Take a moment to see what we’re building. The mission is real, the team is strong, and we’re just getting started.
