Happy #NationalCoachesDay to all of the incredible coaches across New England (and beyond) 🌟

Today, we celebrate the coaches who make a difference on and off the court! Thank you for showing your athletes how to lead, how to celebrate, and how to be better teammates.

The Bronx is raising champions, on the court AND in the classroom. @legacyvbc uses volleyball to build discipline, leadership, and real pathways to college. Every year they serve thousands of young people through competitive teams, clinics, scholarships, and community partnerships. Their goal is simple: families should have access to high-quality opportunities regardless of income.

This is what building a legacy looks like.

I’m happy to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at American international College where I will play volleyball at the division 2 / D1 level. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along my journey. I’d like to start with thanking my mother for introducing me to the amazing sport in the first place. Although it was definitely hard to watch me at first because of how horrible I was you never stopped supporting me and giving me advice. I’d also like to thank my father for all the very loud support. Even though you were somewhat clueless at the games I was always able to hear you over everyone else in the massive crowds at almost every tournament you came to. I say almost because there was someone who was somehow even crazier which is my sister @itsscotti . She was sometimes too crazy whether that was screaming at me mid game or jumping onto the court after my best plays. Thank you Patrica I’m glad we can look back at the Blazers day and laugh at my “clips”. I’d now like to thank both legacy and northeast for the amazing coaches and staff for all of the time and effort you guys put into improving me as a player. Marcus @vb_guru you saw my most uncoordinated self and gave me that baby giraffe nickname which will unfortunately stick with me forever whenever I walk into Turners. And thank you so much for my northeast coaches Kevin and Mo for taking me into their family my senior year and training me into my best self, making me feel at home, and finally fixing my blocking. I’ll always be grateful for how welcoming you guys were. I appreciate all my teamates for pushing me so hard the past 4 years and igniting a passion inside me that pushed me to get to the level I am now. Finally I’d like to thank Coach Wade for giving me this opportunity to play at the college level. I look forward to becoming an even better player with your coaching. I am forever grateful.

And with that... go Yellowjackets! @aicmvb
