The Poomsae event at the Korean Ambassador Cup Taekwondo Championship was a showcase of our students' hard work, passion, and talent. It was incredible to see them compete at such a high level and achieve such great results. We are so proud of our students and so grateful for the support of our two talented masters. It was a day to remember! 🥋

Our students at Damek Taekwondo have made us all so proud by competing at the national level in the Poomsae tournament of the just concluded Korean Ambassador Cup Taekwondo Championship, despite only being in the art for just over a year.

Their dedication and passion have led them to become highly competitive athletes, and we are excited to see how much they continue to grow and achieve.

They competed in Taegeuk Yuk Jang ( senior brown) and (Taegeuk Pal Jang) black belt Poomsae, facing some of the best poomsae athletes from around the country and the world

Damek students were led by
- Master Ammaar Luqman, captain of Unilag Taekwondo Team.

- Master Aramide Ibrahim, Captain of FUTA Taekwondo Team.

For the second time in three weeks, Master Aramide Eniola @aramidetkd joined Damek in training.

His first stop was a quick hello on his way to a Taekwondo National camp for the most outstanding Taekwondo athletes in Nigeria, which was held in Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi state.

On his second visit, with a little more time than his first, he shared some of his experience in sparring and training coloured belts.

He is the current captain of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Taekwondo Team (@futatkd ) under the teaching of Grandmaster Anthony Mohammed, the FUTA Tkd Headcoach.

Master Eniola Aramide is currently the best featherweight Taekwondo fighter in all of Nigeria's universities. He is also the Ondo state Taekwondo team's featherweight fighter and Poomsae specialist.

He will compete as the Nigerian featherweight Taekwondo fighter against the best featherweight fighters from all institutions worldwide at the World University Games in Chengdu, China, come August 2023.

Master Eniola Aramide, the current featherweight champion, began Taekwondo at the age of two. He earned his black belt when he was ten years old.

He is the second son of Grandmaster Aramide, the founder of the Lagos-based Millennial Taekwondo club. GM Aramide has five children, all of whom are black-belt Taekwondo practitioners. GM Aramide set an excellent example for his children by competing and winning several medals in his old age.

Master Eniola Aramide, the current featherweight champion, is actively seeking sponsors to help him achieve his Olympic dream.

We hope to see more of him in the coming days.
