Many of you know our story, but some may not. Six years ago, our family walked through one of the hardest seasons of our lives. Both Matty and I lost our jobs due to COVID restrictions and mandates. We were parents staring down a world that suddenly had no sunshine, no sports, no play with others … and no idea what to do next.

Our summer camp program @aqualandofthefree was born not from strategy or business plans, but from need—our children’s need for movement, joy, and community. What started as a few kids splashing in the bay and a couple of boards quickly grew into something bigger than us. You trusted us with your children during a time when trust was scarce, and that trust didn’t just get Aqualand off the ground—it changed the direction of our lives.

Because of you, we now get to spend our days working in the sunshine, teaching kids, creating experiences, and building memories that matter. What was once a lifeline has become our calling—and we are humbled that your support has made it possible.

And then came the next chapter: Legion of Fun.

As more and more Aqualand families asked for surfboards that could survive siblings, seasons, and serious use, we stepped into something new. We tested shapes, reinforced rails and tails, created wax-free decks that stay clean —and before we knew it, we had a line of boards built by families, for families. The response has been overwhelming in the best way, and again—it’s because of you.

Your belief in us, your willingness to put your hard-earned dollars into our programs and products, and your partnership in this wild adventure is something we will never take for granted.

Thank you for being part of our story.
Thank you for believing in what we do.
Thank you for raising kids who love the water, the sunshine, and the joy of being together.
