POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Yesterday, I had the absolute honor of pounding the marble floors of the Capitol with an extraordinary group of colleagues who share my passion for something I truly believe can make healthcare better for every patient, everywhere: healthcare simulation.

We walked from office to office, shared our stories, listened, learned, and advocated for the support and investment our field needs to continue preparing healthcare professionals for the moments that matter most.

Because simulation is so much more than a mannequin, a scenario, or a training exercise.

It’s the opportunity to practice before a real patient is counting on you.
It’s building teamwork before the crisis.
It’s developing confidence before the uncertainty.
It’s testing systems before they fail.
And ultimately, it’s about making care safer and better for patients—every patient, everywhere.

Standing in those halls with colleagues who are just as passionate, committed, and determined was incredibly inspiring. I’m reminded that advocacy is not just about asking for change. It’s about showing up, telling our stories, sharing the evidence, and making sure decision-makers understand why this work matters.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to represent our field, our patients, and the incredible community of people who dedicate their careers to simulation.

What an honor it was to walk those marble floors with people who believe so deeply in the power of simulation. And what a reminder that when we want healthcare to be better, we have to be willing to show up and advocate for it.
