We’re excited to bring BETWEEN TWO WAVES back to the Lehigh Valley 🤘🏽

On Sunday, July 26 at 2 PM, our award-winning feature film screens at @artsquest_pa in Bethlehem, PA as part of Community Day at Beep Boop, Beep Boop Sci-Fi Film Festival, followed by a live Q&A with both of us 🎤

We filmed throughout the Lehigh Valley, where Courtney grew up, so sharing the film with a hometown audience makes this screening especially meaningful 🫶🏽

If you’re nearby, we’d love to have you join us ✨

🎟 Tickets are available at the link in our bio.

Five years.

Five years ago, McKinney Media was just an idea.

Today, at 26 years old, I’ve photographed more than 30,000 people and have made a full-time living behind the camera for the past four years.

This journey has taken me from the 85th floor of One World Trade Center to MGM National Harbor, celebrity events at private country clubs in New Jersey, Wind Creek Bethlehem, holiday portraits for thousands of families, and assignments across Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Florida, Texas, Philadelphia, and Canada.

For Christmas, I surprised both my fiancée and myself with our own billboards. I’ll never forget that feeling.

But what I’ll remember most is the beginning.

The planning. The prayers. The vision boards. The manifestation. The early mornings that turned into overnight editing sessions.

Showing up to events where nobody knew my name. No invitation. No connection to the organizer. Just a camera and a belief that if I served people well enough, opportunities would follow.

Sometimes they did.

Sometimes they didn’t.

So I kept showing up.

Growing up, I never thought photography was a career for someone like me. I didn’t know a professional photographer, and I never imagined I’d become one.

Today, I don’t just photograph people—I help teach the next generation through the McKinney School of Media & Marketing, speak to students and entrepreneurs, and have built a team that’s bigger than myself. McKinney Media is no longer a one-man army, and that’s one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of.

The other day I caught myself thinking about America’s 250th anniversary. Looking at a 250-year-old institution is like looking up at a skyscraper from the sidewalk. Five years suddenly feels small.

But every skyscraper starts with a foundation.

Thank you to every client, teammate, partner, mentor, friend, and supporter who’s been part of these first five years.

The foundation is poured.

Back to work.

Not even 24 hours later, we were back at Muhlenberg College for the Young Professionals Council panel, Communicating with Executive Confidence.

A huge thank you to an incredible panel of leaders: Karen Kelly from Crayola, Molly MacDonald from Altitude Marketing, Kelly-Anne Suarez from LVHN, part of Jefferson Health and moderated by Emily Massaro from Liquid Interactive Marketing for sharing such valuable insights and real-world advice. We walked away with plenty of practical tips and strategies that we’ll definitely be putting to use. Thank you for an engaging and inspiring conversation!

Now that the learning is done… no more coffee—it’s time for espresso! ☕⚡
