It feels like such an exciting season for Kerry-Lee @thewinglesswarrior With more speaking opportunities presenting themselves, a new website coming together with Leith from @leithalandco and a beautiful new brand direction taking shape, it was time to create the imagery to bring it all to life. And what a story she has to tell. Kerry-Lee is an extraordinary open-water swimmer, completing a 20.4km swim around Wop-pa / Great Keppel Island, now recognised as a Guinness World Record. She’s also a speaker, advocate and the woman behind The Wingless Warrior. Our shoot was about creating a beautiful library of imagery for this next chapter, across her new website, speaking opportunities, media and socials. And beyond everything Kerry-Lee has achieved, she’s an absolute delight to spend time with. She’s warm, kind and a phenomenal storyteller. You can’t help but be drawn to her. We’ll celebrate a woman’s win in a whisper or when it won’t cost us anything. A quiet “so proud of you” in the comments, a quick congratulations, and then the conversation moves on before it gets too big. But watch what happens when she posts the number. Last month I realised I was craving more in person connection so I looked ahead and book a bunch of events ( 7 to be exact). I booked networking events, business events, organised dinner with friends and clients, messaged friends for walks and coffee catch ups and before I knew it my cup was overflowing with laughs, fun chats, heart warming conversations, new energy, ideas and connections. You just can’t beat in person connection with great company. Business can be lonely sometimes and getting out and about, sharing your ups and downs with people who genuinely care makes all the difference. I’ve made so many new connections as well which makes me so happy! You know the chats are good when you forget to take photos and all you’re left with is food snaps 😂😂 Next up a dinner on the GC, an event in Brisbane and a few more GC events I have already booked for July. Last year, the beautiful Leith from @leithalandco took the stage as our speaker competition winner and blew everyone away with her incredible story and why it’s so important that you prioritise making impact. She had this opportunity because she chose to be brave and shared her unstoppable moment on video and shared it with the world. From this she was able to use the professional video, photos and testimonial to put a speaker page on her website and even booked her first paid speaking gig!! Amazing! This week I’ll be announcing the speaker competition for this year — so if you want to see yourself on stage at the Unstoppable Women event in September, keep an eye out because it’s about to start. 👀
