The red hot plates are spinning as we gear up for October’s music, 12” records, and then some. Trust that we’ve got some seasoned and new servings this month, so come on in with keen ears. We kick off with Philson’s @whatstheplanphil return to his crates, while Kalen @555dgtl and Haziq @_hzqq_ promise new sounds to the living room thereafter. We’ve got Choo @chinnian and Bryan @bryanjedidiah sharing records for a first, whilst returning champs Ryan @_the.weatherman and Leland @lelnd continue on, showing off their finds. Zai @z4idj and John T @sideo return to bring us surprises, naturally, — and finally, we welcome Vietnam via US’ Jimmy Gia Huy @huydonist for a special Sunday nightcap to round off the week.

It’s time time TIME!! 🛞🪩 💨 Tickets: tricycle-transport-bkk.eventbrite.com Throwing our debut sesh on new ground, the Tricycle boyos @_koonz @dmmass @lelnd return October 17th joined by a special, revered guest trio. We’re welcoming one of Thailand’s finest DJ crews @transportmusicbkk for a night of free wheeling, shapes-cutting, move-making energy under the disco balls. Celebrating their ‘TEN YEARS OF TRANSPORT’ run of shows that wraps with a Rainbow Disco Club Bangkok finale, the trio of @seelie__ @brentburns @__mr.mowgli have been spinning it nice and good, a decade of DIY, long-form, day to night parties in locations outside and within the city. Most notably, their Chang Chui warehouse venue has been a recurring specialty that we love — and so it was a no brainer that we venture out and about, sussing and transforming a brand new space which mirrors that energy, all while keeping it homely. We’re chuffed to have Upper Serangoon Soundsystem @upperserangoonsoundsystem bringing the boom, plus we’ll be decking out the room — leafy, lights, and smoky. 9pm-late. One ticket price, one evening, online only, limited cap. This one’s made for the homies and priced for comfort. Full details at the link below, see you on the road! Art by @lunch___666 @fujuray

For the first edition of The Orange Mic, Mixmag Asia passed the mic to five community radios at the inaugural Airtime Asia (@airtime.asia) conference in Vietnam. Founder Myroslaw Bytz (@b_y_t_z), who also operates Da Nang Community Radio (@danangcommunityradio), believes that “community radio stands firmly in the corner of humanity, where people are not chasing clout, likes, or paper, but holding down the true underground spirit of creation and sharing.” Watch to learn how these regional community radio pioneers would describe their respective radio studios, and hear them shed light on what the audience doesn’t get to see during the livestreams. TAISENG 3333333SOME false wall has become a haven for our friends and favourite selectors to dig into the eclectic b-sides of their libraries. weaving between genres and guided by energy, we’re in search of sounds that reach a little deeper - scratching parts of our brain that we didn’t know existed. we engage in a careful dance between play, experimentalism and curatorial trust. come with open ears and an earnest heart on 22/23 aug as we bring this spirit out of the room and into raghouse. 22/8 [digital] @mako.hc @umami.upapi.88 @lelnd @prostatelatte 23/8 [vinyl] @chiaky_i @chinnian @dzmndlee artwork by @herman.svg
