We said goodbye to our Ranger a few days ago, just shy of 15. He was our first baby and such a steady, loving part of our lives for so many years. He’ll always have a special place in our hearts and we miss him more than words can say. Rest easy sweet boy 🐾 🌈

San Antonio, you stole my heart. This week was one I’ll never forget. From launching a single barrel release to seeing our whiskey featured in cocktails, hosting happy hours, and manning two booths at TPSA. Every stop was a reminder of why I love what I do. I’m beyond proud of our team. We may be a small company, but we show up in a big way when it matters most. The passion, hustle, and dedication everyone brings every day doesn’t go unnoticed and the feedback we received at TPSA was incredibly humbling and a testament to what we’re building. 🥃 Whiskey Review – @oldfourthdistillery Con 40th Anniversary Bourbon DRAGON CON 🥃🐉 Sometimes a bottle catches your eye before you ever pull the cork, and this Old Fourth Distillery Dragon Con 40th Anniversary release is exactly that kind of bottle. The artwork is absolutely incredible a fierce dragon soaring above the Atlanta skyline in bold shades of purple and gold, celebrating four decades of fandom and imagination. Whether you’re a whiskey lover, a Dragon Con fan, or both, this is one of those bottles that’s just plain fun to have on the shelf. In the glass, the color is absolutely stunning. It pours with a rich orange-red amber hue. Nose ~ The aroma opens with notes of caramel, vanilla, honey, and light oak. There’s a pleasant sweetness right up front, followed by hints of toasted sugar, baking spice, and a touch of citrus that keeps everything bright and inviting. Palate ~ At 94 proof, this bourbon is surprisingly bold. In fact, if you’re someone who normally passes on lower-proof pours, don’t let the proof fool you this one drinks noticeably hotter than 94 proof. The palate delivers layers of caramel, toffee, vanilla bean, sweet oak, and baking spices, with enough warmth to make you double-check the label. Finish ~ The finish is where this bottle really shines. The warmth carries through beautifully with lingering notes of vanilla, cinnamon, toasted oak, and sweet caramel. It’s long, satisfying, and leaves a pleasant hug that feels bigger than the proof would suggest. The combination of the palate and finish is easily the highlight of this pour. Overall, this is a fantastic release from Old Fourth Distillery out of Atlanta, Georgia. Between the incredible Dragon Con artwork, the beautiful color, and a flavor profile that drinks well above its stated proof, this is a bottle that’s both fun to collect and enjoyable to drink. WELCOME TO THE SWEET SHOW!…. A group of us started N.C.F. Barrel Club around a year ago and with 5 picks already released and 5 more picked but coming soon, this is my favorite hands down so far. @shortbarrelwhiskey Sapsquatch has been a favorite of mine since they released the very first batch of it but doing a pick of it was absolutely incredible. Although the title of my post may suggest it’s sweet, it’s maple forward but not overly sweet to me. The toasted and maple processes builds a strong foundation that makes this bottle super crushable. From Short Barrel’s website: Sapsquatch starts where most finished bourbons don’t—in stainless steel. We build the base using Sugar Maple Infusion Spirals, conditioning the whiskey for 6–8 weeks before it ever sees a finishing barrel. This step lays down a foundation of maple-driven depth, caramelized sugar, and toasted nut character. From there, the whiskey moves into Kelvin Cooperage toasted barrels that previously held maple syrup, sourced from Vermont and Ohio. This separation of process is intentional: Stainless builds flavor. Barrels build structure. The result is a whiskey that is bold, controlled, and repeatable batch after batch. This blend is all KY distilled (Beam) and is all 8 yr old juice and creates an incredible profile. We are completely sold out (thank you to all that purchased) and we look forward to releasing the next 5 barrel picks soon to our members.
