Reykjavík International Film Festival 2026
The Golden Puffin was awarded to La Gradiva by Marine Atlan, which follows a class of French high school students traveling to Pompeii to discover ruins and bodies petrified by Vesuvius, exploring how a rare moment where the raw force of youth meets a world frozen in time causes their desires to surface with unexpected, shattering intensity.

We thrilled & honoured to be screening this very special feature film from @lemohnag for our Black Yonder launch at @kulttuurivalve tomorrow afternoon (Sat. 12.09) - “Ancestral Visions of the Future”!! Filmmaker and artist @lemohnag blurs the lines between reality and reconstruction. Through fragmented narratives and mythic imagery, Mosese reflects on dislocation and belonging, returning to his unnamed city— not for answers, but to remember himself. Yet, Ancestral Visions of the Future is more than a story of one man’s exile—it is an elegy for a city and a people caught between the weight of memory and the inevitability of loss and it is a poetic ode to cinema.
