Tomorrow is our Day.
We are proud of this circle that has become bigger than ourselves. The ONLY public community drum circle in West Orlando.
We grew up on the west side
We saw the stigmas and propaganda imposed on our communities. We learned about the historic white flight and malicious redistricting of west Orlando.
We build our communities up anyway.
It’s beautiful out here,
The people here are beautiful.

But enough with the sappy stuff
Lets us DRUM and electrify the air once again!

Most times the weather apps on your phone are misleading, it may say 80% chance of rain in Pine hills but if you check on the percentage of rain hour by hour, most of this rain will pass before 6am. It will not rain during the drumcircle. It will be perfect weather, all systems are go.

We’re still reeling from last month’s festival. Thank you to everyone who came out, supported the artists, and helped bring Orlando Mural Festival to life. And a huge thank you to all of the muralists who brought their work to downtown Orlando.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: GERMAN LEMUS
German Lemus creates bright, saturated paintings full of color, energy, and emotion. His expressive portraits explore famous figures as well as people from his own life, often blending recognizable faces with surrealistic elements. Bold colors, layered brushwork, and dreamlike imagery give his work a powerful and distinctive visual language. Lemus’ art is a celebration of creativity, connection, and the freedom to express through color.

Artist Statement: German Lemus is a Honduran-born, Florida-based artist and U.S. veteran, whose work moves between community spaces and storytelling. You might recognize him for his mixed-media portraits of familiar faces and animals, but it ’s his surrealist landscapes, layered with metaphor and symbolism, that reveal a true creative powerhouse. Inspired by music, culture, nature, and current events, his work is conceptual, beautiful, and endlessly intriguing. Stare at one of his pieces every day and you’ll find something new. As a founder of Orlando’s B-Side Artist Collective, German’s artistic footprint extends far beyond the studio, with works living in public spaces, galleries, and communities throughout Central Florida and beyond.
