WOW, it was so good seeing everyone last weekend during our club season opening! So a BIG THANK YOU to all the new & old faces showing up and showing out, to the DJ’s for all their sets and support towards each other, and of course to our staff for working long and early hours ❤️ This was a big team effort and only the start of a lot of amazing nights and early mornings to come and it showed that even with some setbacks (like a flooding basement - who said that?! 🫣) we are able to come together, be in the moment, and create something memorable ❣️

The vibe last weekend has definitely set the tone for what this club season is going to be and we have lots of fun stuff to share. Every Thursday there will be a free arcade party. On Friday we are focusing on free party nights (or with cheap entry) in our arcade. Saturday we will either host our own clubnights, work together with amazing collectives, or go on until the early morning. Definitely check out our monthly program on our socials (first one is going up tomorrow) to see what is happening at 160K at night 👀

But first, what’s happening this week?
Thursday 18/09 - Afterglow On Tour @weare.afterglow
Friday 19/09 - @menbyrun
Saturday 20/09 - TBA
Sunday 21/09 - @align.rdam Day Rave

Part TWO of meeting our local heroes! This is the last batch of amazing artists and collective Rotterdam has to offer. These DJ’s are opening, closing, and doing everything in between during the night. High musical quality is definitely guaranteed ✅

Today at 3PM we are posting the timetable! You have until 9PM ‼️TODAY‼️to get your second release ticket, after that we are moving over to the third phase so don’t wait too long with getting your ticket.

@undecided_stevie is one of those DJs who can do it all, playing high energy tunes alternating with the deep and low. It is easy to lose yourself in one of her sets and you will definitely stay until the end 🥵 We are excited to give Stevie the honor of closing of the club room ❤️

@ansjowvis her sets move through underground currents of breaks, electro, trippy techno, ghetto house, and, as an ode to her heritage, latin core. Driven by percussion, hard kicks, hypnotic basslines, and infectious grooves, she is ready to close off the basement this Saturday 🔥

@everilkills is a DJ who spins with teeth—pulling from ballroom, dancehall, soca, and the grit of Black queer nightlife. Their sets are hot, messy, and charged, moving from Caribbean heat to NYC basement sweat. Playing for the dolls, the freaks, and anyone ready to lose themselves in the dark 👀

Our friends from @tonyz_collective are taking over the booth like no other can do. Their signature blend of hypnotic, dark, and gritty techno often shifts toward more urban and uplifting tones, always serving the narrative they are carefully constructing 🌀

All our artists are online now! Who are you most excited to see? Comment down below ⬇️

Meet our local heroes! Rotterdam has some of the finest DJ’s and collectives to offer, so our line-up does not feel complete without including them during our club season opening! ❤️ An ode to the sound of Rotterdam, check out @jessyjiggy b2b LHMR (@lemvrx), @zeynep.kosemen b2b @kaikaina._, and @aaantafell on September 13 at 160K!

@jessyjiggy moves through minimal techno, garage, deep house, and breaks. His sets blend surrealistic-cinematic textures with club-ready precision to reimagine electronic music as a space for storytelling and self-expression. With @lemvrx, expect the unexpected, a fluid exploration of sound that invites listeners to lose themselves in the movement and come out somewhere entirely new. shifting from lush grooves to breaky rhythms, from atmospheric soundscapes to dance-floor pressure always with a sense of surprise around the corner. Get ready for a B2B set transitioning day into evening with a detailed, flowing journey full of depth, groove and atmosphere 🌀

@zeynep.kosemen mixes sub-genres of house and techno, with captivating rhythms and raw sounds. Her sets bring a groove and hypnotism to cultivate an atmosphere of exploration. @kaikaina._’s sets are a skillful mixture of ethereal melodies and deeper elements, blending romantic-era drama with deep, percussive rhythms. Her sets move between moody and sensual, layered with arpeggiated synths, syncopation, and emotion-driven energy. A sound that feels as intimate as it is powerful. We couldn’t have thought of a better duo to open our club room! 🔥

Starting off our Saturday program is @aaantafell, a young, eclectic DJ and event organizing collective from Rotterdam. They take fun VERY seriously. Sharing their deep love for music and bringing people together. Come early to experience the AanTafel! effect. We have made warm-up tickets available at a sweet price (only 13,-) which grants you entry before 22:00 on Saturday! 💁🏻‍♀️

We are soon moving on to the next ticket phase (did someone say Thursday night? 😶‍🌫️). So get yours NOW! Your pockets are thanking you later 😊

We are back with a new @rlb_amsterdam Session!

Thursday, Feb. 13, our guest @lemvrx , techno moniker of Lahmar Oehlers and founder of @selfexpressionrecords , will take you on a hypnotic journey by blending various styles of electronic music to keep the body grooving, and the mind moving. Inspired by his native roots, he incorporates rhythms and grooves influenced by rituals and tribalism. Whether as a DJ or producer, LEMVRX’s main focus is on artistic freedom and self-expression. As a label head, he has just released the debut EP Stray by Waltz, out now on Self Expression.

Alongside, our resident @lucrodngthings will bring his signature deep beats.

Don’t miss out!

After the session, the sets will be out on SoundCloud.

For his debut EP ‘Stray’ on Self Expression, Waltz deviates from the standard. In his journey for self expression he re-discovered his love for the 90s rave scene.

The tracks on ‘Stray’ follow the direct meaning of the word; “to deviate from the direct course, or go beyond the proper limits”, in which Waltz sends a message that he does not want to move along the intended route.

Stray is the perfect blend of minimalism, groove, and hypnotism. We’re stoked to have published this record on Self Expression!

'Resonate' is a monthly radio show presented by Rotterdam's podcast series Self Expression and record label At The Intersection Records, alongside Montreal's virtual dance floor La Klubo.

Each episode is a curated story - a dive into self-expression and the progressive essence of music. From the rich textures of minimal, transcendent to the meticulous dissection of house, techno and breaks.

A multicultural transatlantic connection, operating at the intersection of art and technology, exploring the depths of music as a means. A mind-expanding and body moving experience only on @subtleradio.

Tune in every 3rd Monday of the month!
