POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The last 4 years have presented some of the sweetest milestones and hardest won victories of my life. I imagine this is how Olympic athletes feel. It flew by. And as I’m organizing our files I’m noticing—I smiled a lot. Since Y’all keep asking, let me share a few thoughts:

When @andreforatlanta made Youth a top priority, something shifted in the City. In the best way. @atlyearoftheyouth started as an idea and has evolved into our way of life. I’ve been advocating for young people 22+ years in education. The Mayor’s support of Youth & their Families is not replicated anywhere across the country. Trust me, I looked.

My heart is full and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished. The Waterboyz have an LLC 🤯 and little Black Girls dance with THE Alvin Ailey dance company 🥰. Non-profits are breaking ground on brick and mortar and microgrants were created. Youth homicides are down. Graduation rates are the highest in history. More Kids have had summer jobs than in the metro region cities combined. And…we renovated childcare centers so the babies have nice spaces to learn and grow. The culture of our City is a more positive, collaborative one. @atlyearoftheyouth is groundbreaking. Y’all it was @andreforatlanta ‘s idea to buy out @cascadeskate on New Year’s Eve so kids and families could enjoy the night safely.

It’s been an amazing experience working for @andreforatlanta with @courtneyenglish4atl my forever Brothers in the fight to do right by Atlanta. So yeah—you should vote for him again. Absolutely. He is who he says he is. He’s done what he said he would. And he’s a good human. 💙 🗳️

What a time to be ALIVE!

The 2025 installment of the Peachtree Road Race represents my second and final as Chief of staff to Mayor @andreforatlanta and my hometown.

Honored to join more than 50,000 participants representing all 50 states, 27 countries, ages ranging from 10 to 96 all committed to tackling this 6.2 mile trek through the heart of the City.

This day was extra special to me as the first installment changed my life forever. Thankful to complete this journey (and comeback) with so many I started with.

Not bad for a guy that was never supposed to walk again!

A few weeks ago I was selected as a featured employee to be highlighted in the Mayor’s 2024 Annual Report as well the State of the City. I do not do my job for reward or recognition, but It’s an honor to be aknowledged for my work.

I love the work I do, not only because it’s a moral imperative to ensure that everyone has a safe, dignified home, but because this city is my city. It’s an incredible place, and I want everyone to experience its potential. That starts with providing affordable housing for those who need it most.

This work has allowed me to see lives change right before my eyes, and that is what keeps me going. Thank you @andreforatlanta for the feature, it’s truly an honor to work for this administration!✨

2024 may have been challenging …BUT I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Real talk. My life is special and truly blessed.

I celebrated impacting over 30,000 Youth in 2023.
I was invited to study and learn at Harvard TWICE.
I laid out on the beach and got sunburnt.
I got healthier and was cleared from having to ingest chemo meds daily.
I shuttled the investment of $30M for Atlanta Students.
I facilitated the opening of TWO @goodrco Grocery Stores.
I launched the Mayor’s 1st ever Youth Townhall.
I danced in puddles with my Niece.
I was honored with a Literacy Champion Award.
I saw the Braves beat the Red Sox at Fenway.
I sang Sweet Caroline with thousands at the top of my lungs.
I hugged people I hadn’t seen in a long, long time.
I celebrated my friends.
I sang karaoke with my family all night.
Hell, I even lost weight.

And I ate goooooood with great friends, every chance we got.

What God has for me next, I can only imagine. The pages have been turned. 2025 is already all good. Bet.🥂💪🏽💕🎉 #2024 #happynewyear

It's been a whirlwind since Wednesday, but the word to describe it all: JOY! From a party to purpose, from hellos that become hugs, and moments that will be memories for a lifetime, I'm reminded why we ❤️ this season. Happy holidays!

Atlanta, be sure to get in line before polls close. Stay in line until you vote. Thank you to all of the community members and partners who helped @andreforatlanta spread the word to GOVoteATL! Special gratitude to @tcgimpact for leading a tremendous youth-serving @democracyfestusa ! We proudly partnered with schools and nonpartisan organizations to provide information helping ATLantans access the ballot box.

We had a great time practicing mindfulness and learning strategies to improve our mental health with @1010unitedwewin today! Elections can be stressful and this year’s races may cause all types of feelings, but don’t worry, we have tips for you!

Share this graphic to remind your neighbors and loved ones how to prepare mentally. Early Voting starts 10/15, it’s almost “Go-time” ATL but first…let’s breathe.

Thank you @1010unitedwewin @kyionisaac for a wonderful, mindful day. #worldmentalhealthday #Atlanta #MentalHealth #SelfCare
