For some reason I decided it would be a good idea to pack up the Mini and go on a month long road trip, couch surfing my way through the mid eastern and southern parts of the United States.......I was correct, It was a good Idea.

Tiny Moves in the making

Tiny Moves, performed by Riverworks Dance Collective, choreographed by Charlotte Gularson

I cannot put into words how rewarding the process of working with Charlotte is. It has been an honor and a privilege to watch her grow and put on these shows for the past two years, and the cast has TRIPLED in size since we started last year? holy cow!

The concept of tiny moves touches me so deeply. Growing up in a town like Poolesville, a tiny place that holds memories everywhere, coming back from a long absence feels like watching a movie of your younger self. You've grown, changed, but the place stays the same. You have to grieve the people and the parts of yourself you have left behind while becoming the next version of you. The person you are right now was not who you were yesterday, and will not be who you are tomorrow.

Being able to bring this story to life with all of the wonderful people I met over these two weeks was an experience I will hold close to my heart. I finished Tiny Moves feeling fulfilled and inspired(and really sweaty). Thank you to Charlotte, Esther, everyone who flew in to make this happen, and to Riverworks for fueling these artists to create in a place where art is few and far between.
