SOPHOMORE YEAR IS HERE. ❤️ Welcome back, Class of 2029! As we step into our second year at Morehouse, your Sophomore Class Council is excited for what’s ahead and ready to make this a year to remember. We’ve been working behind the scenes, and two events are already in the works to help kick off the year. Details are coming soon, so make sure you’re following the page and staying tapped in. And while we’ve been away from campus, your council members have been making moves of their own. Swipe through to see what some your Sophomore Class Council was up to this summer ➡️ This is only the beginning. #MorehouseCollege #ClassOf2029 #SophomoreClassCouncil #TheSophomoreScoop #morehouse2029 During his internship with the PATH Foundation in Virginia, Howard gained firsthand insight into how community engagement strengthens communities and improves lives. He learned about PATH’s commitment to addressing local needs throughout the region through meaningful partnerships, investments, and outreach. Through this experience, he developed a deeper understanding of the importance of building connection, service-driven leadership, and showing up for communities in ways that create lasting impact. This summer, Lency stayed busy building experience across finance, leadership, and technology. He served as an Investment Analyst Intern with Jasco Philanthropies, participated in the Takeoff Institute Fellowship, and took the stage as a student speaker at DEVCON. From analyzing investments to developing as a leader and sharing his voice on stage, Lency made the most of his summer while continuing to grow personally and professionally. This summer, Mantavius gained hands-on professional experience as a Summer Intern with the Douglas County Board of Education’s Communications Department. Through his internship, he had the opportunity to experience the work that goes into communications within a school district while building his professional skills and gaining valuable experience outside of the classroom. This summer, Dylan had the opportunity to shadow NFL broadcaster James Brown, a 2020 inductee into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Through the experience, Dylan receive

From student speaker prep, late-night laughs, new friendships, and memories I’ll hold onto long after Houston. DevCon definitely treated me well. DevCon reminded me that there’s room for all of us to grow, lead, and lift each other up. A huge thank you to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund for creating spaces like this and continuing to invest in HBCU students. I’m leaving inspired to pour back into the communities that have poured so much into me. Until next time. 🫶🏽✈️ #DevCon2026 #TMCF
