Our church had baptisms this morning, always one of my favorite Sundays. When I saw a familiar face up front, I quickly realized his wife and daughter’s baptisms would follow his. I got teary imagining how special that must feel. Could there be anything sweeter?

Each of them shared about their love for Jesus and his impact on their lives, but what stayed with me most was when @lenoxmey talked about how the Lord has never stopped pursuing her. Even in harder seasons, she still felt pursued by God.

That resonated deeply with me.

I’ve had days lately where I’ve felt angry that our life is still so upside down. Days I’ve cried in my car because it all feels like too much. Days I haven’t prayed at all because I don’t even know what to say. Days when I feel empty and exhausted.

And yet…those days are sometimes where I feel God’s relentless pursuit the most. At the conclusion of my angry moment, my cry session in the car, or my lack of interest in prayer — God often finds a way to remind me he’s still there. Despite my reckless emotional breakdowns, He slips into my heart and mind to calm me down. I’m so glad He doesn’t give up on me. I’d have given up on me a long time ago. Thank goodness for a God who runs after us without expecting perfect faith in return.

We’ve had a two-month stretch with longer breaks from chemo, giving us a small taste of normal here and there. But tomorrow, we begin again—one week on, one week off—through the end of May.

Would you pray with us for endurance and strength as we step back into this treatment schedule again? That Ben’s body would respond well, and that it would prepare him for whatever comes next in his treatment — soon or down the road.

And pray for all of us as we navigate the busyness of this time of year…end-of-school events and all. the. things.

We are so grateful for every prayer lifted on our behalf. Keep storming heaven. 💙
