🇺🇸⚔️ THE LAST SAMURAI! 🥷✈️

An era is coming to an end for the 14th Fighter Squadron, the “Fighting Samurai,” at Misawa Air Base, Japan! 🇯🇵

During my recent trip to Japan, I had the incredible opportunity to capture some of the squadron’s last F-16 Fighting Falcons before the Fighting Samurai transition to the next-generation F-35 Lightning II.

Something you don’t see everyday and a first for us…the UAE Air Force National Aerobatic Team “Al Fursan”.
We got lucky yo see them performing twice in a week, first in Athens Greece and then near my hometown in Jesolo Italy.
The team recently switched from the Italian made MB-339 to this new and very interesting Chinese built aircraft, the Hongdu L-15.

Comments: Believe it or not, despite the indigenous aircrafts being a major reason for me visiting Taiwan, these C-130's with their iconic camouflage and still donning the 4-blade propellers were another reason for me to make the journey here. I was lucky to see them at various airfields and lighting conditions.

Spad Night Launch 🚀 STTB‼️

Probably the most challenging shots I’ve ever attempted. 8 takeoffs, 462 photos, and just 3 keepers.

Here’s the first of those 3 postable shots, this one captured on the second to last takeoff of the night. The motion blur of the Fort Worth skyline in this frame is something I can’t get over. I really surprised myself with this one, and I’m beyond happy with how it turned out!

A jump in the past with some WW1 action during the 2026 Jesolo Airshow and these gems from the Jonathan Collection 🇮🇹
These gorgeous birds are replicas of the Caproni CA3 bomber and the SPAD XIII fighter built by the legendary Giancarlo Zanardo.
The Caproni is actually the only airworthy full scale replica of the Italian heavy bomber in the world.
