A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the 34th Annual Bolinas Museum Benefit Party & Live Auction! We loved bringing our community together for an evening of art, friends, good food, and celebration in support of Bolinas Museum.

Weโ€™re grateful to the participating artists and experience donors whose contributions made the auction possible, to our event co-chairs Moses Berkson and Scott Trattner, and to Chris and John Borg for generously hosting us at Borg Barn. Special thanks to Mark Buell for leading the live auction, and to our wonderful board, staff, and volunteers for all the hard work that went into bringing the evening to life.

Thank you to chef Leif Hedendal (@leifhedendal) and his team for a wonderful feast, and to Fort Point Beer (@fortpointbeer), St. Hildieโ€™s (@drinkahildie), Idell Family Vineyards, and Marine Layer Wines (@marinelayerwines) for providing the eveningโ€™s drinks, and Sally Robertson, Sirima Sataman & Lauren Pirritano for the beautiful floral arrangements. Most of all, thank you to everyone who attended, bid on artwork, and raised their paddles in support of the museum. Your generosity helps fund our exhibitions, programs, and collections, keeping Bolinas Museum free and open to all.

Weโ€™re so grateful for the people who make this museum and its community so special. Thank you for being part of it!

And hope to see you at the museum next Saturday, October 31 at 12 PM for the opening celebration of

Bennett places the viewer in the position of the bather, looking into a man-made body of water. A single drop recoils from the surface, freezing a fleeting moment, while reflective glass distorts a distant figure. Water, one of the recurring subjects of Bennettโ€™s practice, becomes a way to explore stillness, vulnerability, and our relationship to the natural world.

In ๐˜—๐˜ข๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ช๐˜ด ๐˜Œ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜บ #2, Bergeron stacks translucent shapes to create a shifting sense of depth. Ink, graphite, and silver leaf come together in a work directly influenced by the patina process used in bronze sculpture, connecting his painting practice to his longstanding engagement with sculpture and material.

The Arts Commission and Rec and Park are proud to present โ€˜Barrio Fiestaโ€™ by Cece Carpio at the newly rebuilt Gene Friend Recreation Center.

Located at 77 Harriet Street in the heart of the SoMa Pilipinas Filipino Cultural Heritage District, SoMaโ€™s only indoor recreation facility is now more than 50% larger at nearly 25,000 square feet to serve children, seniors, families, and adaptive athletes.

The artwork that sits at the center of the gymnasium, takes its name from a beloved Filipino cultural tradition, a festival that brings people together through dance, music, colorful parades, and a shared feast. Carpio brings that same spirit to the gymnasium wall, weaving portraits of well-known local leaders alongside everyday heroes: veterans, elders, immigrants, and youth who make up the fabric of SoMa.

See more of the artwork at the link in our bio.
