✨ Rencontres extraordinaires✨

June, @leocaillard. A goddess in flowing marble.

Summer sales in focus. Back to @leocaillard with June, the second of his two new monumental works that crosses the Atlantic.

June depicts Juno, queen of the Roman gods, in @leocaillard‘s Liquid Stone series. Its form was developed through an extensive study of airflow, giving the stone a realistic windswept effect. Suspended between solid and liquid, stillness and motion, past and future, the work reimagines the strength of the classical figure.

Homo Faber 2026: An Island of Light has truly shown me the magic that happens when human hands, raw materials, and the creative vision of Es Devlin come together on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore.
Until next time, I will keep celebrating the beauty of handmade excellence. 🤍

2051, The Acclimated

A design fiction exploring the future of energy.

Seeking to rethink its role in a rapidly changing world, France’s leading energy provider invited external designers to collaborate with its engineers in developing fictional scenarios for the International Design Biennale of Saint-Étienne.

These speculative narratives were conceived to reveal a range of possible futures, all pointing to the profoundly social, technical and emotional nature of our relationship with energy. Starting from environmental, technological and, at times, political pemises, they test our collective and individual willingness to embrace the models that may one day emerge, here or elsewhere.

Between dependence and autonomy, technology and nature, fear and desire, each vision invites reflection through the lens of our own beliefs and aspirations, immediately bringing fundamental questions to the surface. Here, energy serves as an underlying lens through which to read both past civilizations and those we may, or may not, build tomorrow.

The year 2051, deliberately positioned just beyond the horizon of most conventional forecasts, was chosen to explore discontinuous futures that challenge prevailing trends and assumptions.

Within this context emerged the hypothesis of The Acclimated.

By 2051, climate disruption, its impact on human societies and the depletion of fossil resources have slowed the globalisation of progress, reduced intercontinental exchange and fostered highly localised innovation, responding to ways of life increasingly shaped by environmental conditions. Technological tribes have emerged, adapting to and drawing strength from their immediate surroundings and their own societal values. These climatic communities produce and consume energy according to the natural resources available around them. Each tribe, having specialised in a primary source of energy and invested in the technologies best suited to harness it, gradually developed distinct ways of life, adapted to their environment and acclimated to it.
