As coaches it is our job to first teach the technique, help the athlete progress over time but also to push them when they need the extra push to achieve their goals! Tonight Athlete David pulled 285lbs on the deadlift for 3 reps with ease. As he contemplated his next move I watched as he put only 10 more pounds on the bar taking him to 295lbs! In this moment he had a chance to go for a PR of 300lbs, (it would be his last set) but you could definitely see the doubt on his face. โฃ โฃ "Psssst, Hey David throw another 5lbs on the bar"โฃ โฃ His eyes got big but he trusted me as a coach and went for it! When your athletes and coaches have a bond of trust and drive the possibilities are endless. From all of the Crossfit Evolution staff we are proud of you David, way to crush it tonight! โฃ โฃ #crossfit โฃ#breakinggoals #strong #deadlift #crossfitforeveryone #strongerbytheday #longwood #yourcommunitycrossfitgym โฃ
