Alex might need a frequent flyer punch card after this week! From Harrisburg to Hamburg, he was on the road connecting with leaders and supporting local development. He wasn’t the only one out and about, though! The GRCA team was busy visiting businesses, building partnerships and making connections across the region. 🍂 At least everyone got to enjoy Pennsylvania’s fall colors along the way!

Here’s what the GRCA team was up to this week:
🏠 Keith and Alex, alongside Derek Harris of the County of Berks, attended the PA Chamber’s inaugural Housing Summit in Harrisburg. They heard from housing leaders across Pennsylvania, including City of Reading’s own Jack Gombach, who shared the city’s work to address local housing needs.

🤝 Jackie met with Rebecca from @truist to reflect on their 2026 sponsorship, celebrate what’s working and explore opportunities to strengthen the partnership in 2027.

🏰 Dallan and Missy toured @stokesay_castle with Holly and ran into Heather and Greg from @leodesigngallery along the way!

☕ Alex bumped into @realtorsinberks Realtor of the Year Ernie Salgado at Hazel’s Cafe in Hamburg. A chance encounter turned a conversation about community development and building on the momentum across the Northern Berks.

🔬 GRCA team members attended the SPL Reading Environmental Laboratory Open House, enjoying lab tours and some fall fun!

🏗️ Alex visited the Amity TIF site to learn more about plans for 330+ new homes. The Berks County Industrial Development Authority helped secure tax increment financing to fund the infrastructure needed to support the development.

🤝 Jackie connected with @69news to reflect on its 2026 partnership and discuss ways to strengthen the relationship and build on that success in 2027.

🏛️ Alex headed back to the Capitol with the Partnership for Career Development to speak with high school students from across Central Pennsylvania about careers in government affairs and advocacy.

Kate and Kyle’s wedding was full of country charm and the most gorgeous light of the year.

Special thanks to @simple_soiree for making the day so easy and fun! And extra special thanks to @thedif for bringing his excellence and a smile to all of our faces.

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Sauer! 🤍💒

Yesterday, I said “yes” to forever with the sweetest man I have ever known. I am so incredibly proud and blessed to call him my husband and to officially be welcomed into the Sauer family.

My heart is so full thinking about the love, laughter, and memories we shared on our most special day. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us and helped make our night truly unforgettable. We are so grateful to have been surrounded by so much love. 🤍

Here’s to forever 🥂

The delicacies of an afternoon tea - charcuterie cups, tea sandwiches and quiche, and macarons and petit fours. And one can never forget the cocktails. All celebrating Lady Amanda!
