The last 2 summers have been such a blessing ✝️ “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Every year of college for me so far has been filled with the exact same questions. Was I supposed to transfer? Am I meant to pursue a career of music and theatre? Why am I really here?

It’s experiences like this that remind me that I’m right where I belong.

Parade is one of those shows that once you dive in, you can never get rid of it. It’s forever in your mind and your body. This is a piece of theatre that sticks with me, with a powerful, gut wrenching score that may be one of the best Broadway’s ever heard. To Jason Robert Brown (@jasonrobertbrownstagram I hope you see this, king!) thank you for creating this complex masterpiece that will live on for generations.

To my creative team, @kendrathefriendra, @jackson__santi, @elliotstrak.ki, @leah.corcorann, thank you for taking me in, believing in me, and showing me all the love in the world. Not only did I build unbelievable relationships with you all, but I felt taken care of both in and out of the rehearsal space. I couldn’t have asked for a better creative team if I wanted to.

To my musicians @do.re.mi.hilo, @lara.cunn, thank you for your hard work and dedication to such a difficult score with such little time to work on it. Whether it was receiving the piano score a week before tech or only being able to use a drum set for two days before we opened, both of you helped to craft the sound of our show in a magnificent way.

To my cast, thank you for being willing and ready to make this Pretty Music. Teaching and sharing this score with a group as wonderful as you all has been nothing short of a beautiful gift. Thank you for buying in, working hard, and dealing with whatever shenanigans I may have presented. We shared so many amazing moments, many of which involved all of you sending chills down my spine from the beautiful work you did together. To all of you: Never stop making music. Never stop performing. YOU made this experience what it was for me.

This show is one I could talk about for hours. I’m so grateful I had the chance to be a part of a work of art this gorgeous and breathtaking. A truly life changing experience with some truly life changing people. 🫶
