Graz Freestyle 2026 (1/6)

What can I say, except something about all of the new amazing experiences and achievements?

Graz Freestyle 2026 (2/6)

Getting my first ever off side McNasty in C1 ever and that during my final rides making me 2nd place in C1 overall ranking behind Leon🥈Austrian women champion in C1 and standing on the podium with Chrissi who committed to start her C1 career as well :)

Placed 2nd in K1 women at the event and beeing vice women austrian state champion in K1 🥈 Entering the finals sitting in first place, but still need some work on pulling my strength through a total of 10 rides like Zofia ;) Congrats to Denise for getting her first austrian women state champion titel in K1 (lets see who its gonna be next year 😉)

Graz Freestyle 2026 (3/6)

On top of competing in two disciplines I got to be head judge for the first time and that for K1 mens!

Working our way through prelims, semis and finals we realized how amazingly high the scores are this year. With a personal record of each paddler in almost every ride, the stoke was high and the pressure on the judges and me as well!

Thanks to Luci, Leon and Denise (and their scribes as well) for such an amzing job, without you it wouldn‘t have been possible for me to get through this comp☺️

After this event I can say, I am ready for the head judging game 🤞

From vibing to the music, to full focus everything within seconds

Graz Freestyle 2026 (5/6)

Preparing for the event as a competitor and head judge together with Roman, I can just say thank you! 😘

Without you I wouldn’t have come so far, from training together with you, to practicing my judging skills, preparing me for head judging and just beeing the best supporter I could have ever wished for! ♥️

Also more then proud of you for throwing down the rides you are capable of and only wished for 😍 Your progress is amazing to see and makes me smile every day!!

Graz Freestyle 2026 (6/6)

Slow and steady wins the race!

1st time German nationals not in Germany
1st time organizing it myself (with a lot of help😉)
1st time Livestream for a German freestyle competition
1st time flying with a @hugekayaks freebird in a competition
1st time multiple 1000+ point rides in one competition
And finally 1st place in competition (not for the 1st time)

Let the search for the essence of freestyle continue!

Massive thanks to all involved! You were amazing!

Day 1,5 and 2 salza rodeo

No water => no freestyle
No freestyle => no competition
No competition => no fun

Solution:
1. new rules
2. New Arena
3. New Judging system
4. A ton of hyped, like-minded and skilled people
=> New discipline

German Championship in Graz 🇩🇪🌊

Stoked to secure 🥈 in C1 with my highest ride ever in prelims — 550 points — and 🥇 in K1 with my first ever Woo Tricky in competition 🤯

Super happy to have been part of the organizing team together with Roman, making the livestream work as the first people in Europe to do it this way 🎥 Big thanks to Hojo for the support and also huge thanks to Leon!

Also really enjoyed judging K1 men and feeling motivated to take this further in the future 👀

And of course, thanks to @die.floesserei for the amazing scenery during the prize giving 🙌

Big thanks to everyone who helped make this event happen ❤️
