Lenny bags a V3 - is it time for us to be nice to him? Or is today another good day for a roast?

You decide!

Better hips = better climbing.

Flagging, drop knees, heel hooks, and high steps all depend on hip mobility. When your hips can’t access the range you need, your body finds it somewhere else, usually your knees or lower back.

Lenny has incorporated these movements into his climbing warm-ups and has been seeing real results:

1. 90/90 Hip Rotations:
Builds the internal and external rotation needed for flagging and drop knees.

2. 90/90 Internal Rotation:
The mobility climbers often neglect. Essential for turning your hips into the wall on steep terrain.

3. Leg Extension:
Combines hip rotation with a hamstring and adductor stretch for stronger high steps.

4. 90/90 Chest-to-Knee:
Trains the compression and rotation used in heel hooks and knee bars.

5. Figure Four + Twist:
Opens the glutes while improving rotational mobility for bigger reaches.

6. Abductor Rocks:
Improves hip opening for wider stems and better movement.

7. Kneeling Lunge:
Loosens tight hip flexors to improve your overall range of motion.

Save this for your next climbing warm-up, and let us know which movement helps you the most.
