Eles saฬƒo os mercadores dos desejos. Loro sono la mercante dei desideri. They are the merchant of desires. I do not know why I was born. But I grew up in Italy. I was a very empathetic child. When my brother bled, I bled. And so, to avoid suffering, I chose to close my eyes. I did things without seeing any meaning in them. I did them because I was told that was how things had to be done. When I was in middle school, I met the devil. I made a pact with the devil: To give my soul in exchange for meaning in a world devoid of meaning. But a world without meaning only acquires meaning if you choose to lose your own. Years later, I encountered love. My eyes longed to love. I was told that to love, I had to listen deeply to myself. I tried, but it is difficult to listen to something that no longer holds any meaning. Empathy is an ideology. The sun feel as it rises. The Ninth Symphony feel as it plays. The olive trees and the lemon trees feel to the genocide. The European border feel to the earthworms passing by. Do you know? You do not feel to things that have no meaning. Power does not feel, but water feel. The heart feel. Resistance movements feel. They feel, and they fire. That is how I found my eyes again. Now that I know how to feel, I have broken the pact with the devil. Now, my pain, which is also your pain, has a new meaning. A direction that no fear can control any longer. His research unfolds alongside the evolving soundscape of the rural landscape of Alta Tuscia, where he investigates social contradictions and tensions, aiming to develop a sonic documentation and a contemporary critique of these marginal territories. He has performed at festivals and events including Sonata Festival at MACRO โ€“ Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome, Open Space at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Radura Festival, Collagene at Dispositivo Arti Sperimentali (Bologna), Manifesto Fest, Capta Festival, TOAST Project, Diacronie, and many others. things are better left as beautiful memories, rather than turned into something that poisons us beyond repair // I have an obscene amount of wonderful people around me // still, everything seems to bury me alive // sometimes a stream of consciousness is the only honest thing left // I hate the egotism that comes so naturally to me // Iโ€™ve stopped making my therapist chase me // I feel like Iโ€™ve milked a cow dry // all thatโ€™s left is rancid, melancholy milk from a summer that has only just ended Apulia / Sicily / Basilicata, Jun - Sep โ€˜26 #shotonfilm #diary #youth
