perched 3,500 feet above yosemite valley, with some of the most incredible views in the park ⛰️

a few days exploring yosemite national park 🏞️🍂

towering granite cliffs, endless forests, incredible views and a little autumn adventure in one of california’s most iconic national parks.

02 / would you dare sit on the edge of a 3,500-foot drop? 👀⛰️

welcome to taft point, one of yosemite’s most breathtaking viewpoints, perched high above the valley with nothing but sheer granite cliffs below.

would you get this close to the edge? 👀

03 / can you believe all of this is in one national park? 🏞️

from the towering granite walls of el capitan and the iconic half dome to peaceful lakes, forest trails and breathtaking viewpoints, yosemite has a little bit of everything.

and of course, ocean had to come along for the adventure! 🐾

which of these four views would you want to experience first?

04 / there’s more to yosemite than its famous viewpoints! 🌲🍂

from winding roads lined with autumn colours to curious wildlife and unexpected encounters, sometimes it’s the little moments between destinations that make the best memories.

one of my favourite things about exploring national parks is never knowing what you’ll come across next.

what’s the most memorable wildlife encounter you’ve had while travelling? 🐿️🐦‍⬛

05 / ever wondered what it’s like to wake up in yosemite national park? 🌲🚐

towering pine trees, peaceful forest trails, waterfalls and granite cliffs right on your doorstep.

one of my favourite things about van life is being able to call places like this home, even if it’s only for a few nights.

could you swap a hotel room for a campervan in the wilderness? 🏕️

42 lbs on my back, nights as cold as -7°C, and every single step was worth it. 💙

3 days, 2 nights and some of the most unreal alpine lakes i’ve ever seen.

📍 big pine lakes, california 🏔️

what other backpacking spots should be on my list? 🥾✨

what ~85lbs of dive gear looks like 🤿

2 x steel 50s ~50lbs
2 x regs + hoses + SPGs ~6lbs
sidemount BCD + harness ~7lbs
drysuit + undergarments ~8lbs
fins + mask + hood + computer ~4lbs
lead weights 11lbs

basically carrying 75% of my body weight just to go underwater 😂

worth it.

how many orcas can you count? 🖤🤍

wild orcas traveling peacefully past me, just a few feet away. seeing these animals in their own environment, moving together as a pod, is something i’ll never forget.

look at those incredible dorsal fins standing, seeing them move freely through the ocean like this is such a powerful reminder of where these animals belong.

i stayed completely still and let them choose the distance. i didn’t swim towards them, chase them or try to interact with them - i simply observed. when you give wildlife space, you get to witness their natural behaviour rather than forcing an encounter.

orcas are incredibly intelligent, social animals with strong family bonds. different populations even have their own hunting techniques, behaviours and vocal traditions that are passed between generations.

animals this magnificent don’t need to perform for us to be extraordinary.

observe them. respect them. protect them. in the wild, where they belong. 🌊
