Utah 2023
My will to be wild and mission to find my bark looks different.

Here's to saying yes to adventure.
I'm lucky to be around people who genuinely see the goodness in me, and will fight against the fears holding me back.

I was frightened my storm would put a damper on the trip.
They made sure I felt safe.
They wrapped their arms around me, guiding me back into the present.
They lead by example.
They invited me in and banned all masks at the door.

Judgments aside, we all became so comfortable, having a taste of life on the road.

Your anxiety is lying to you.

For every flaw uttered, the rest would list all of the beauty that's overlooked.
We snuck into a Holiday Inn to splash our faces with water.

As we mapped out our evening plans in the parking lot, we continued our pow wow before hitting the road.

We were always right on time.
The lighting decided to linger long enough for our scenic drives.
When we got hungry, we ate.
We laid in the grass and later laughed over how itchy it made us over a delicious dinner.

One motel room didn't provide toilet paper, and the tub wouldn't drain in the next.
It was always something, but we were happy to have a place to rest our heads.

There was a constant laughter or inside joke that would have us near tears.

The one person I texted the most was off the grid with me. So I didn't mind so much that I didn't have service.

In 8 days, we've explored enough to make up an entire lifetime.
Each day was a new day of "let's see what happens."

We drank enough water to fill a river.
We sweat through layers of clothes, but what was the most special was when we would coordinate outfits.

It felt like a family bonding trip.

They say, if you wish to get to know a person- take a trip.

Thank you for taking the wheel & for delivering me to safety.

When T and I first started dating, we would always say it felt like a “bachelor episode” 😂😂 meaning it always felt way too perfect. Like the scenery that surrounded us —to the animals that were around us were all paid actors. We indulged in the deliciousness of newness, it truly was an electrifying time of our relationship— as most relationships start out. After all when you first ignite a flame it appears to be the brightest. I really didn’t want to let go of it either. But I realize now it wasn’t about giving up that fairy tale relationship.
It’s about landing it in reality.
It’s about giving the fairy feet.
It’s about peeling away the armor and loving the human down below.
It’s about daring to step into the all seeing and tending to the maintenance of the flame.
It’s about finding romance in the naked fires of daily life.
When our masks and guises dissipate— real authentic love can reveal itself.
Forget the fairy tale, the human tale is much more fulfilling 🧚‍♀️

Less mindless hustle, more mindful magic >>
When you consciously slow down and deepen your breath, you are letting your body know that it is okay to trust this present moment.
In an age of speed and constant movement, stop racing to the next moment and smell those mf flowers 💐

~𝒯𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓂𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝒷𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝒸𝑒 ~
On this morning, we woke up at sunrise to start our day — but after getting ready and also a little lost on our way to Na Mueng Waterfall (don’t listen to Apple Maps!) we ended up arriving around 8ish. The trail begins at the bottom of the mountain so we were fully prepared for an intense hike to the top, HOWEVER our definition of intense hike just recently changed after our 2,600 step climb in Krabi a week before 🫠 so at this point we’re highly trained right? 😝 So much so we didn’t believe we were at the right spot when we got to the top so seemingly effortlessly maybe after a 30 minute climb. I say this still with sweat dripping down into my eyes lol but again not as bad as I anticipated. Even being as late as we were we somehow managed to have this little slice of actual heaven to ourselves for a perfect amount of time. Core memory unlocked: there is no better place than wading at the top of a waterfall overlooking a kingdom of lush beauty, listening to its music while embracing your favorite person. These are the moments I equally melt (maybe even literally 😂😂) and live for.

But I never really ‘fell’ for you did I? No, contrarily
I rose.

Once upon a time, I woke up in tears after experiencing an incredibly profound love only to turn to the person laying next to me realizing that was only a dream.. Thank the heavens for the flood. For the rebirth of my self worth. For the strength to shed skin. For making the space for proper horizons. What you want exists. Do not settle until you get it. Today, I wake up and look into this humans eyes who can show me just how much they love me without a single spoken word.
A love that exists on a soul level— instinctive—
like an effortless intake of breath.

Dear lover,
Thank you for making the small moments special.
Life’s not always going to be full of heart throbbing thrills and non stop adventure.
But when it slows down,
I know I can sit with you,
laugh with you,
exist with you
And still feel like I’m going 1000 miles an hour.
