✨Jesus was born...
✨So he could lay down his life for all mankind...
✨So he could rise again...
✨So he could live in our hearts today.

⭐️ Jesus wasn’t just born to give us a beautiful Christmas story—He came with a purpose. He stepped into our world so He could lay down His life for us and rise again, offering salvation to ALL MANKIND.

✝️ “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10). ✝️

As we celebrate this season, let’s remember that the manger leads to the cross, and the cross leads to an empty tomb. His birth is our hope, His sacrifice is our freedom, and His resurrection is our victory. This December, keep Jesus at the center of everything. 🙌🏼

The parable of the fig tree is introduced. When the fig tree's branches become tender and sprout leaves, it signifies that summer is near. This is a #natural, #observable #sign.

Verse 33:
Similarly, when the events described in the previous verses (wars, famines, earthquakes, persecution, etc.) are #seen, it indicates that Jesus' #return is #near, "at the #doors".

Verse 34:
Jesus states that the #generation #witnessing these events will not pass away until all the described events are #fulfilled. This is interpreted as the generation that sees the beginning of these signs will also see their culmination.

Verse 35:
A powerful statement about the #enduring nature of Jesus' words. While heaven and earth will pass away, His words will not.

Putting off the old self and putting on the new self: This passage emphasizes the fundamental change that occurs when someone becomes a Christian. The "old self," characterized by #deceitful #desires, is to be discarded, and the "new self," created in the image of God in righteousness and #holiness, is to be embraced and lived out #daily.

Renewing the mind: #Transformation involves a continual #renewal of one's #thoughts and #attitudes, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide thinking and #behavior in line with God's #will.

Speaking truthfully and avoiding falsehood: Believers are urged to put away #lying and speak the #truth to one another, recognizing their #interconnectedness as members of the #body of #Christ.

Managing anger without sinning: While #anger is not inherently #sinful, the passage advises against letting it fester and to avoid letting it provide an opportunity for negative #influences.

Transforming behavior related to theft: Those who were thieves are instructed to #cease stealing, work honestly, and use their earnings to help those in need.

Using words for good and edification: #Corrupt or harmful talk should be avoided, and instead, speech should be used to build others up, provide grace, and meet their needs.

Not grieving the Holy Spirit: The passage warns against actions that would cause sorrow to the Holy Spirit of God, who has #sealed believers for the day of redemption. #Living in accordance with #God's #principles brings #joy to the Spirit.

#Protection in God's Name (17:11-12):
Jesus prays for his disciples to be protected in God's name, meaning they are kept safe from the evil that surrounds them. He acknowledges that Judas was the exception, the "son of #perdition," whose betrayal fulfilled #prophecy.

Unity (17:21-23):
Jesus prays that his disciples and future believers will be one, just as he and the Father are #one. This unity, he believes, will serve as a powerful #witness to the world, showing that God sent him and loves them.

Revealing God's Glory (17:22):
Jesus prays that believers will be #granted the #glory that God has given him, a #revelation of God's character and action. This glory, shared among believers, will serve as a testament to God's love for the world.

Sanctification and Truth (17:17):
Jesus #prays for the disciples to be #sanctified by the truth, which is God's #word. He emphasizes that they are not of the world, just as he is not, and should be #separated from its ways.

The World's Knowledge of God (17:23):
Jesus prays that the world will know that God sent him because of the unity and love that will be displayed among his followers. This #unity will be a powerful demonstration of God's love and power.
