First—shoutout to the GREAT referees who genuinely love this game. We need you.

But if you’re only showing up for the check, we gotta do better.

Youth basketball is bigger than a whistle and a paycheck. Every coach, parent, player AND referee has a responsibility to help these kids learn the game the right way.

Nobody is asking for perfection.

Just be consistent. Communicate. Respect the game. Care about the kids.

Because when the final buzzer sounds, this was NEVER supposed to be about us.
