Moyocoyotzin was first created and inspired with the desire of overcoming adversity with the sole purpose of self accomplishment and success. While challenging my habit of pursuing trauma as a means of acquiring wisdom and self-realization.

I sought an archetype that has truly resonated with me. Bergen, also known as `woman of pain`, has strived, pursued, and carried herself against all odds in a world of violence where a woman could not become her own.
Coming from a very traditional Lebanese background and have been through a similar hardship, I was able to find myself within her story and her relation with the world. To achieve this, I advanced and based my research on Deleuzian philosophy. Parts of his concepts puts in perspective the action of folding as a sense of continuous act of becoming.

My fabric manipulation shows my intention of sculpting and pleating my own destiny no matter the difficulty or the initial purpose of it. This is seen in my choice of fabric that is skinlike; colours that are within the skintone range. Keeping that in mind, I developed a technique of knitting on leather and creating shapes through fabric deformation.

Objectifs du cours 💭
Il vise la maîtrise des habiletés créatives et techniques avancées au prototypage et à la réalisation de la collection de produits de mode.

C’est avec goût et technique que nos étudiant.e.s démontrent leur capacité à apprendre sur les diverses méthodes avancées en coupe, mais aussi à concevoir et créer des patrons avec précision.
