Wow time flies. Happy first birthday to my greatest work yet, album #2 “No Blondes In Heaven”. This was made over the course of 2 years in between trials, tribulations, tours, heartbreaks, a whole lot of love, a whole lot of loss, and every single label in the world saying NO in between. With no budget and no backing we still managed to chart top 10 on alternative, and broke ground with some amazing art. I couldn’t have done it without the best damn team of creatives in the world. Cheers to one year of No Blondes In Heaven, and double cheers to the next album I got on deck….

One of my greatest accomplishments. Before my last album, I made a short film with some of my closest friends narrated by my spoken word poetry. Was it a “commercial success”? NO. Was it heartfelt, meaningful, and beautiful? FUCK YES. THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO MAKE SOMETHING WORTHWHILE AGAIN. WORLD BUILDING ISNT DEAD, LONG FORM ISNT DEAD, ART ISNT DEAD. We got into this to make something beautiful, and that’s what we’re gonna continue to do until my last breath. Creativity isn’t a popularity contest, and remember as artists it’s our duty to alter the market and set standards for what should and shouldn’t be created. No slop here. No Blondes In Heaven forever.

You all really sang this one word for word. I wrote this song with no expectations. It started as a personal letter to myself from my younger self when I first got sober… Little did I know it would resonate with so many of you, and even win song of the year at the Boston Music Awards. Each time I’ve played it it’s been sang back at me loud and proud, reminding me I’m not so alone in my struggles. To the artist reading this: it’s always the ones you least expect. I might not be as “big” or as “successful “ as I want to be right now, but stuff like this makes the battle worth fighting.
