Finding out i was nominated for the SFA at Wharton Center was a dream come true. The Wharton Center at MSU is the largest performing arts venue in all of Michigan, having a seating capacity of 3,000. While getting to see the backstage, be in the same dressing rooms and areas as broadways actresses and actors, and even finding out most of my favorite performers performed on the same stage was so surreal to me. My school won multiple standouts towards choreography, direction, costume and lighting design!! I am so proud to be the first student to ICHS and ICPAC to attend and represent my school with pride.

Being apart of the most talented kids in Michigan is something freshman year me would’ve never imagined. With 2 day workshops and 2 days of rehearsal from 8am-pm, over 156 students created a 3 hour show to showcase dance,singing, and acting. Even with the long rehearsal hours and constantly being on our feet, each and every nominee made these awards made me feel like home. Every nominee made everyone feel like family, and the whole experience made friendship that will last a lifetime. From learning music and choreography from award winning composers and choreographers, this whole experience has made me learn so many new ways to express myself on stage.

Thank you for everyone who supported me along these past few months; especially my mom, Mr. Brewer and Mrs. Brewer. They helped me with voice lessons, finding what selections of songs to sing, finding the right majors, and most of all being so supportive in everything that i do.🤍
