2026 Canadian Champs :)

14.46 (2.3) hurdles! Hep pb! So happy with the way my hurdles are progressing. Chipping away race by race!
1.65 high jump! Hep pb! SOOO HAPPYYYY!!! Working with a new approach and not seeing a bar much this season had me a little curious as to what would happen here, and I surprised my self! Up from here!
10.69 shot put. Yuck. Throwing in a downpour, dealing with lost shot puts, was not a smooth shot comp. Really just missed my right foot under me, oh well next time!
26.01 (1.2) 200! Hep pb! Second best time ever! So happy I was able to gut this out at the end of day 1, muuuch more to come!!!

…..ok so long jump.
While I warming up, I jumped into a footprint that wasn’t raked and my heel hit the bottom of the sand pit. At the time, this seemed minor but it quickly turned into a problem.
4.90 long jump. It was a challenge to get consistent on the board, then it became a challenge to run consistently.
26.54 javelin. Not being able to put your heel down really doesn’t help jav at all😭 From what I was able to do, it wasn’t all that bad, I just couldn’t put any push into the throw.
DNFed the 800. 🙁. Hurts my heart to not finish a multi, but knowing I have provincials and the world dec champs later this season, it didn’t make sense to push through this and risk making it worse.
I’m already on the mend, and I can’t wait to see where I end up this season!!! There is much to look forward to, see you soon😉

For the 3rd time in program history, the Western men’s track and field team are national champions! After a hard fought battle that saw only 11 points separating the top 5 teams, the Western men came out on top with 64 points. The weekend saw lots of team members stepping up and scoring higher than ranked. This, coupled with unwavering teammate support and team spirit, helped the men to this historic and unforgettable feat.

Our women’s team finished an incredible 4th just a few points shy of the podium. We are so proud of their efforts, resilience, and attitude.

In total, the team saw: 4 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze, 5 school records, and 4 U SPORTS records.

Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, and IST on a remarkable season, and thank you to all who supported the Mustangs this year!

POV: You’re a Mustang!

More than just teammates. This group shows up for each other every single day. Long practices, longer bus rides, big wins and tough breaks, no one does it alone. The support on this team is real and it shows in the way they compete for something bigger than themselves.

Proud of the way our Mustangs continue to build a culture that not only feels like family, but is. That is what makes this program special.
